The calm seas stretched endlessly ahead, painted in soft blues and gold by the afternoon sun. After the intense farewell from Skypiea, the newly gifted ship, "Elysian" now sailed quietly through the Grand Line. The wind hummed against the sails, and the creak of polished wood echoed beneath their feet.
Ethan stood at the wheel, hands loosely gripping the polished frame. His white coat fluttered behind him as the salty wind kissed his skin. His sharp eyes scanned the horizon—not for danger, but with a rare sense of peace. The adrenaline of battle had long worn off, replaced by a comforting serenity.
Behind him, laughter echoed from the upper deck.
Robin, Kaya, and Vivi were lounging near the railings, talking amongst themselves while sipping freshly made juice. Their hair danced freely in the breeze, their cheeks a soft hue of pink under the sun.
"Ethan!" Kaya called, leaning over the rail. "We've been thinking… How about you take a break and let us spoil you today?"
He chuckled, letting go of the wheel. "Should I be worried?"
Vivi walked toward him with a playful sway. "You've done enough steering for today, Captain. We're in calm waters—let us treat you like the hero you are."
Robin's teasing smile followed. "Besides, we need to properly thank the man who brought down a god."
Ethan raised an eyebrow. "I thought we agreed to stop calling him a god. Just a self-obsessed lightning user."
Vivi giggled. "But it makes your victory sound more legendary."
Kaya chimed in, "You're stuck with that title, Ethan."
They ushered him to the lounge area near the front of the deck where a shaded canopy had been set up. A small table had been prepared with food and drinks. Robin even laid a few books beside it—clearly intended to keep him entertained while the girls worked around the ship.
"Alright," he said, leaning back and letting the sun hit his face. "I'll allow myself a break… for now."
Later that day…
The group gathered around the dining area inside the ship. Elysian, elegant in both name and design, had everything from a cozy living area to a grand bath chamber, elegant kitchen, and even a library Robin had already claimed.
"This ship is amazing," Kaya whispered, looking around the softly lit room. "It's better than anything I've ever seen on the seas."
"It's a floating castle," Vivi added. "They really outdid themselves."
Robin sipped her wine and watched Ethan from across the table. "They believe you're divine, Ethan. This ship is just one of many tributes we'll probably see."
He rubbed the back of his neck, still uncomfortable with the idea of being worshipped. "They'll get over it eventually. I'm not a god."
"No," Robin said softly, "but you are something different. They feel that. We all do."
Kaya leaned on his shoulder. "You've changed everything. Even the sky."
He didn't reply. Just closed his eyes and allowed himself to soak in the warmth of the moment.
The Next Morning
The crew woke up early, their destination just hours away: the small stretch of coastline where Montblanc Cricket once waved them off.
"Let's drop by and say hello again," Ethan said, standing at the front of the ship.
"Think he'll believe us if we tell him we came down from the clouds?" Vivi joked, brushing her golden hair behind her ear.
Robin smirked. "Maybe we should keep it a mystery. It'll keep him dreaming."
The girls agreed.
Elysian cruised forward, the breeze gentle, the skies clear. As the coastline came into view, Ethan could see the old shack where Cricket used to sit. It was still there, and a flag fluttered beside it—a symbol of their brief but unforgettable stay.
Kaya joined Ethan at the railing. "You seem more relaxed lately."
"I guess," he muttered. "It's just... peaceful. No enemies. No wars. Just the sea, and... you girls."
Kaya smiled. "That's all we want too."
Vivi and Robin joined them, their arms brushing lightly against his as they watched the familiar shore come into view.
"Let's enjoy this," Robin said. "Before the next storm."
Ethan smiled faintly. "Yeah. Let's enjoy the calm... while it lasts."
