The descent from the floating island of Skypiea was smooth, albeit a little surreal. The soft clouds that once held their temporary home began to fade beneath them, replaced by the endless expanse of blue sea and golden sunlight reflecting off the gentle waves. After everything that had happened, the silence was oddly comforting.
A gift from the people of Skypiea, the new ship glided gracefully across the water, its pristine white sails catching the wind like wings. It was massive—far larger than what Ethan or the girls had expected. Reinforced with dials, carved with elegant woodwork, and decorated with symbols of peace and victory, it was a floating palace compared to their modest transport before.
"Whoa..." Kaya whispered, her eyes sparkling as she stepped onto the polished deck barefoot. "This... this is beautiful."
Robin chuckled, placing a hand on the mast. "They really went all out. The dials integrated into the hull… this ship could outrun most vessels on the sea."
Vivi nodded beside her. "And the supplies they gave us. Food, medical supplies, spare clothes… they really treated us like heroes."
Ethan stood at the ship's helm, quietly watching the sea, the sky, and the horizon. He still hadn't quite wrapped his head around the whole "being worshipped as a deity" thing. The priests waving goodbye and bowing at his feet was one thing… but discovering they were already crafting scriptures about him? That was something else entirely.
He scratched the back of his head.
"…Still awkward," he muttered to himself.
Robin walked up behind him, arms crossed with a knowing smirk. "You didn't seem to mind it back in the castle, hero."
Ethan blinked, then grinned. "That was... different."
Kaya came bouncing up next, her blonde hair catching the sunlight. "We never even named this ship! We need something fitting! This isn't just any boat—this is ours."
Vivi, ever thoughtful, added, "It should reflect all of us… and what we've been through together."
Robin looked between them. "How about something poetic?"
Kaya tilted her head. "Like…?"
"Hmm," Robin said, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear, "how about… The Dawn's Embrace?"
Vivi gave a soft smile. "That's beautiful… but maybe too soft for the things we'll face."
"How about Stormbreaker?" Kaya suggested, raising a fist in mock defiance. "That's cool, right?"
Robin stifled a laugh. "And dramatic."
Ethan finally turned from the helm and looked at all three girls.
"What about… Elysia?"
They blinked.
"…Elysia?" Vivi echoed.
"It was the name of a quiet valley," he said carefully, not going into detail. "It was a place untouched by war, peaceful, sacred. A dream, almost. I always thought if I could ever stop fighting, I'd build a home there."
The deck fell silent for a moment.
"…Elysia…" Kaya said softly. "I love it."
Vivi smiled. "It suits us."
Robin nodded. "Then it's settled. Our ship is Elysia."
The rest of the day was slow, relaxing. Robin explored the hidden compartments and the dial-powered mechanism in the engine room. Kaya discovered a lounge area with cushioned seats, an enclosed library, and immediately claimed it as her 'reading fortress.' Vivi found the kitchen fully stocked, and she and Ethan cooked together—something she insisted on doing "to make sure we don't eat nothing but meat and instant noodles."
The crew shared a quiet dinner as the sun set behind them, painting the horizon with pink and golden hues. The wind gently rocked Elysia, and the sea was kind.
For once, there were no fights. No sky gods. No screaming citizens or collapsing ruins. Just peace, soft laughter, and a shared dream sailing steadily toward the unknown.
Ethan leaned back against the railing, watching his crew enjoy themselves.
He could get used to this.
