The skies above Skypiea shimmered with the first signs of dawn, casting golden hues across the floating island. A gentle breeze swept over the clouds, carrying with it the warmth of a new day and the whispers of prayers—prayers not to Enel, but to a new figure.

Rael.

The man who defeated their god. The hero who fought with the strength of legends. The one they now called "The Thunder Slayer."

He stood on the wooden pier near the edge of Angel Island, hands in his pockets, eyes raised toward the rising sun. Behind him, a new ship floated—far larger and sturdier than the last. Crafted from the sacred sky wood and engraved with golden patterns, it was a gift from the people of Skypiea. Food, medicine, and even books were loaded into its storage, a sign of deep gratitude from the people.

Kaya, Vivi, and Robin were nearby, helping arrange supplies and talking with the islanders. The three of them shared glances at Rael every now and then, noticing the way he stood quietly, almost pensively. He hadn't spoken much since the night before—perhaps still processing the surreal shift from warrior to... deity?

Kaya approached him first, brushing her soft blonde hair back. "Still thinking about it?"

He gave a small, crooked smile. "It's hard not to think about it when priests bow every time I pass by."

"Can't blame them," Robin said, stepping up beside Kaya, arms crossed beneath her bust, her sultry smile ever present. "You did defeat the one they worshipped as a god. In their eyes, you've become something even greater."

"I didn't come here to be worshipped," Rael muttered.

Vivi, coming up from behind with a gentle giggle, draped her arms around his left arm. "Well, we didn't come here for romance either, but somehow that happened too."

He glanced at her, lips twitching. "That's not even close to the same thing."

"Isn't it?" Robin teased. "You swept us off our feet. Now you've swept the people of an entire island off theirs."

Rael exhaled slowly, looking away as the memories returned.

A memory from long ago... another world.

Crimson skies. Burnt ground. The aftermath of a war.

He stood amidst piles of monstrous corpses, their twisted bodies still steaming. His armor was cracked and smeared with dark blood. His blade—black as night and humming with otherworldly energy—was buried in the chest of a colossal beast.

All around him, villagers began to gather, staring in awe. They fell to their knees. Not out of fear... but worship. A title began spreading like wildfire.

"The Hero."

"Hero of light"

And soon, he had followers. A small sect that praised him. Some followed him into battle. Others prayed for his blessing.

He had never asked for it.

He had never wanted it.

Shaking his head, Rael muttered, "It's happening again…"

The girls looked at him.

Kaya furrowed her brows. "Again?"

"Never mind," he said quickly. "Just... old memories."

Before they could question further, a sudden wave of commotion rose behind them.

Dozens of islanders, angels and warriors alike, had gathered at the docks. Among them were the four High Priests—former loyalists of Enel. Now, they were draped in ceremonial robes bearing a new symbol—a stylized bolt of lightning crossing a sword, surrounded by wings.

The mark of Rael.

"Here we go…" Rael sighed under his breath.

The crowd parted, and the head priest stepped forward. "Hero Rael! On behalf of Skypiea, we offer our endless gratitude."

The crowd bowed in unison.

"Our island is free because of you. Our skies clear, our homes safe. We have turned our backs on the false god Enel... and we now place our faith in you."

Robin raised an eyebrow. "They're going all in."

The priest continued, voice rising in passion. "Already, we've begun spreading the message to nearby sky islands. Our ships carry your legend. The worship is young... but it grows, and we shall ensure it grows strong."

Rael shifted awkwardly. "I'm not... I'm not a god."

"No," the priest said, "but you are something. You carry a might no mortal should. And we have seen it with our own eyes. If you are not a god, then you are something greater."

The words struck deep. He had heard similar lines before—in another world, another battlefield. The past and present were beginning to echo each other too clearly.

Vivi gently tugged at his arm. "Say something."

Rael stepped forward. "I won't stop you from believing what you want. But I didn't come here to be worshipped. I just wanted to help."

The priest bowed again. "And for that, you have earned our eternal loyalty."

Rael sighed again. "Then at least use that loyalty to protect your people. Don't wait for another savior."

The priest's eyes widened at the humility, then nodded. "As you command, Lord Rael."

"I never said—"

"Let's just get on the ship," Kaya whispered, tugging him by the sleeve.

As the group boarded the grand vessel, the people of Skypiea began to cheer, throwing petals into the air and waving farewell.

Children held small wooden figurines of Rael, crudely carved but clearly inspired by his likeness. Some women wore necklaces with tiny lightning bolts carved from stone. The worship was young, yes—but it was real.

As the sails unfurled and the ship lifted off the clouds toward the edge of the sea, the priests raised their staffs.

"May the Thunder Slayer guide our future!"

Rael stared back at them, a complex storm of emotions behind his eyes.

By midday, the sky ship gently lowered toward the surface of the Grand Line. Rael leaned on the ship's railing, watching the sea.

Kaya joined him, arms folded under her chest. "You okay?"

"Not really."

"You hate being worshipped?"

"I don't hate it," he said slowly. "I just don't want to go through what happened last time."

"Maybe you should tell us what happened," Robin said, voice soft but insistent.

Rael looked at them both. Vivi stood nearby too, watching him with concern.

He paused.

Then shook his head with a chuckle. "Maybe one day. Just know this isn't my first time dealing with something like this."

They looked at each other. A quiet understanding passed between them.

"Then we'll be here when you're ready," Kaya said, her voice soft.

Vivi nodded. "No matter what world you came from."

Robin's lips curled. "You're full of secrets, Rael. But that only makes you more interesting."

He smiled faintly.

Behind them, the sails flapped in the wind. The ship began to adjust its course.

A new island loomed in the distance—far off on the horizon. A new chapter. A new challenge.

And unknowingly, across the world above, the small flicker of a new religion continued to spread.
