Synopsis
I never asked for a harem. I swear. I’m Ren Takahashi — just a regular second-year high school student who wants to pass his exams, play games, and hang out with my cat. But somehow… I became the center of a romantic storm. It all started when I shared my umbrella with a girl I didn’t know. The next day, the class president started acting weird around me. My childhood friend began showing signs of something more. And now? I’m surrounded by five very different girls — each one special, each one pulling me into her world. I’m not a heartbreaker. I’m not a player. I just treated them kindly — and kindness, it seems, was enough.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: 雨の日の出会い (Ame no Hi no Deai) — A Rainy Day Encounter

It was just another ordinary Tuesday.

Ren Takahashi sat in the second row from the back, next to the window — his favorite spot. Not because of the view or the fresh air, but because no one ever really noticed him there. And Ren liked that.

He wasn't unpopular. Just... neutral. The kind of guy you remember for borrowing your eraser and returning it exactly two minutes later. The kind of guy who always helped you pick up your books but never asked for your number.

That day, clouds loomed over Midori High. The first bell rang as students rushed in, shielding themselves with umbrellas. Ren had forgotten his. He didn't mind the rain, though — it matched his quiet personality.

The final class ended, and Ren packed up slowly, taking one last look at the math scribbles he'd made in his notebook.

Then he saw her.

Standing at the school gates, drenched, shivering slightly, and struggling to fold a broken umbrella.

She looked unfamiliar — pale skin, long black hair clinging to her uniform, and wide, uncertain eyes scanning the road. A transfer student?

Ren walked up to her before he even realized he was moving.

"Hey… uh, want to share?" he asked, raising his umbrella halfway toward her. It was old and slightly tattered, but still dry enough to help.

She blinked, clearly surprised. Then a small smile curved on her lips.

"You'll get wet too," she said softly.

"I don't mind."

She paused… then nodded. "Okay."

They walked in silence under the umbrella, their shoulders brushing lightly with every step. Ren's heart beat faster, though he didn't know why.

"I'm Yui Sakamoto," she said suddenly. "Today was my first day."

Ren looked at her and nodded. "Ren. Ren Takahashi."

"Thank you for this. I... didn't think anyone would help."

Ren smiled faintly. "Most people don't. But I do."

The rain softened as they reached the train station. She bowed lightly. "I'll remember this."

As she left, Ren stood under the fading drizzle, not knowing that this one small act would flip his life upside down.

Because by tomorrow, five hearts would start moving.

And all of them… toward him.
