Chapter 221 - Chapter 221: Humans and Beasts

The giant octopus lashed out with its eight massive limbs, releasing a dense wave of black smoke that obscured all presence and aura.

Mu Ye remained suspended in midair, standing tall with no intention of giving chase.

Within the ocean, the once-aggressive sea soul beasts rapidly sank beneath the waves. In mere moments, they had vanished like the tide retreating to the deep.

The black fog lingered for quite a while before slowly dispersing. Mu Ye flicked his right hand, and the massive blood-red blade in his grasp transformed back into a red mecha. With a casual motion, the mecha tore open a spatial rift and disappeared. Mu Ye himself shrank back to normal size. No one could tell how he did it, but his white chef's attire had somehow reappeared, spotless as ever.

The sea quieted once more, and soon, waves of cheering erupted from the two large ships.

Without question, everyone's attention had just moments ago been locked entirely onto Mu Ye. Now, with a simple movement, he vanished as though melting into the void.

"Integrating them into my spiritual sea… They could've cultivated faster that way, even had a chance to evolve their bloodlines. I didn't do anything wrong. Maybe… maybe the only mistake I made was assuming soul beasts had no humanity," Gu You muttered to himself.

'Sometimes, humans are worse than beasts…'

A complete headcount was conducted swiftly. Thanks to the ships' defenses and the powerful soul masters aboard, there were only a few injuries, none of them serious—and no deaths. Everyone was accounted for… except for the chef who had displayed divine might.

As the ships resumed sailing, a flicker of silver light lit up Mu Ye's room, and in the next instant, Cai Yue'er appeared within.

She had returned to her usual elderly appearance, her beauty and grace now veiled once again.

"You must be Mu Ye, the Pavilion Master of the Body Sect," Cai Yue'er said, eyes narrowing slightly as she looked him over.

Mu Ye gave a calm smile. "Correct." At their level, there was no need for pretense.

"I didn't expect Pavilion Master Mu Ye to have truly achieved four-word battle armor," she praised. "You may well be the only one in the world to have reached both four-word battle armor and god-rank mecha mastery."

Mu Ye smiled faintly. "What if I told you I wasn't a four-word battle armor master at all? Would you believe me?"

Cai Yue'er blinked, then shook her head with a smile. "That's your secret. I have no intention of probing. But I do want to know—why are you accompanying our delegation to the Star Luo Empire?"

Mu Ye's gaze turned cold. "Does it concern you?"

Cai Yue'er's brows lifted. She wasn't someone known for her good temper.

The atmosphere in the room instantly turned tense.

"Very well. Since we speak at cross-purposes, I'll leave you to it. Pavilion Master Mu Ye, take care." Her voice was icy, and she disappeared in a flash of silver light.

Mu Ye snorted through his nose, clearly unfazed. Within the two delegations, there were none who posed a real threat to him.

Back in her own quarters, Cai Yue'er frowned deeply. If it were anyone else, she would've already acted. A top-tier expert suddenly appearing on the ship, whose allegiance was unclear—how could she not be worried?

Even though the Body Sect hadn't clashed with Shrek Academy in years, there was certainly no friendship between them. And even if the sect had waned, it was still the Body Sect. Their former Pavilion Masters had once stood shoulder to shoulder with the Sea God Pavilion Masters.

But she truly had no way to deal with Mu Ye. In terms of raw combat power, she couldn't compete with a sect master. Even among the Sea God Pavilion's members, few could confidently claim superiority over him.

'I can only hope he's not our enemy.'

Cai Yue'er stepped out onto her balcony and waved her hand. A silver sphere appeared in her palm. Sparks of silver light flickered as her fingers danced like butterflies, weaving intricate symbols into the air. The silver orb floated to the center of the formation and vanished in a flash of light.

In the distance—

When the dark coastline of the Star Luo Continent came into view, all the Douluo Continent members erupted in cheers.

And the cheers were echoed by those from the Star Luo side. To them, they had finally returned home.

From afar, the beaches of the Star Luo Continent didn't look much different from the Douluo side. Even the architectural style at the port was only slightly varied.

A grand welcoming ceremony was staged, but for the Shrek Academy delegation, it was merely a formality. After the long voyage, the two delegations finally split.

The Star Luo delegation disbanded immediately, granted a break.

But for the Douluo Continent delegation, their diplomatic journey was just beginning.

"This is our itinerary. First, we'll arrive in the Star Luo Empire's capital, Star Luo City, where we'll engage in a series of exchange battles. Our main counterparts will be representatives from the Star Luo Royal Academy and others. There will also be sightseeing and cultural exchange," Wu Zhangkong explained coolly to the group.

Under the Star Luo Empire's arrangements, they spent one night in a seaside city before boarding a dedicated soul train headed for the capital, Star Luo City.

"Greetings, Elder Cai." The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sima Lanxiao, greeted her with his usual politeness as the empire's official representative.

"Hello," Cai Yue'er replied coolly.

Sima Lanxiao smiled. "Elder Cai, we just received word that a grand youth soul master tournament is currently being held in Star Luo City. Since your group's first stop is the capital, and the students you've brought are among the elite of the young generation, I wonder if they'd be interested in participating. The age range might not be in their favor, but it's the highest-level youth tournament on the continent. Their presence would no doubt elevate the prestige of the event."

Cai Yue'er smiled faintly. "We're here for an exchange. There's no need for tournaments."

Sima Lanxiao responded, "It really wouldn't be a burden. With the abilities of the Shrek students, we could waive the preliminaries—they'd start directly in the knockout stage. It wouldn't take long, and we can guarantee their safety."

Cai Yue'er glanced at him and said indifferently, "That's not my concern."

Sima Lanxiao was briefly taken aback, but then understanding dawned. His eyes flickered slightly. "So, Elder Cai, you must have great confidence in your students."

Cai Yue'er gave a faint smile...
