Chapter 60 - 60 - Dragon God!

[Boo! Surprise! Two chapters in one row. Consider the extra as an apology for being unable to publish a chapter these past few days due to examination, so how about you let me take you teeny tiny hard stones, yeah?]

"Ken-chan! What have you done to such a poor little girl!?" As soon as the little girl pointed her tiny fingers at him, his mom was quick to grab him by the scarf of his shirt and shoved him back and front.

Meanwhile, his father simply pushed the rim of his glasses, making it emit a short flash before uttering, "Kenshin, I didn't expect you to be this…degenerate."

"You two…" Kenshin's lips quivered as he watched how his parents could easily be bought through the cuteness of a small child.

On the other hand, the small girl, ignoring all pleasantries and respect, directly entered their home, her small tiny steps bringing her closer to Kenshin.

Only Kenshin remained aware of it and he didn't stop her. He wanted to know who this little girl is and why she's here. Is it just to destroy his reputation with his family? However, her large amount of energy says otherwise, so Kenshin scrapped it.

"Help me." Ignoring his parents, the small girl uttered with the same cold expression, the tone of her voice containing nothing but indifference.

Before his parents could react as to why a girl was asking them or him for help, Kenshin quickly made his move.

He grabbed the little girl and slung her over his shoulders before rushing upstairs.

"Hold it right there, Ken-chan!"

"Kenshin, chotto matte!"

The husband and wife tried to follow him however, with his superior speed, he locked himself and the girl in his room.

Ignoring the constant knocking, Kenshin gently dropped the girl back on the ground to her feet before crouching to meet her eye level.

Kenshin glared at her and spoke, "Who are you and what are you doing here? Speak or otherwise, I'll take unnecessary measures."

Despite the little girl's appearance, Kenshin wasn't fooled. No one at such a young age could possibly possess such a tremendous amount of sheer energy. She's not even trying to hide it as if she wants everyone in the vicinity to know about her undeniable presence.

"….I'm Ophis, the Infinite Dragon God. And I'm here so you can help me."

"D-Dragon God?!" Kenshin almost choked on his own spit, this was the first time he had heard of such an intimidating title and not to mention, his first time meeting an actual God!

This little girl is a Goddess? If it wasn't for her infinite amount of energy swirling inside her, I wouldn't believe her! screamed Kenshin mentally.

The little girl, now known as the Infinite Dragon God, Ophis, nodded her head in confirmation and repeated, "I need your help."

Kenshin furrowed his eyebrows. A Dragon God, a literal combination of the two strongest figures in the world, a dragon and a god, is asking him—a nobody, for help?

"Uhm…Are you sure you're looking at the right person? I don't think I can do anything that you can already do and even more so…" Kenshin scratched his cheek and awkwardly stated.

However, Ophis simply shook her head and replied, "No, only you can help me. We are the same. I can sense a similar energy to mine inside you. And many others including Baka Red."

"Baka-what?" Kenshin tried to repeat in surprise.

Ophis nodded her head and clarified, still maintaining her indifferent tone but with a small hint of anger, "Baka-Red. A Dragon God, just like me. But he's a thief. He stole my home, disturbed my peace, and now, I have nowhere else to go. So I need your help to kick him out of my home."

"…." Kenshin's lips quivered. He doesn't know what to do with such information. A Dragon God, wants his help to kick another Dragon God? And of all people, she asked him?

If he were in his prime, then perhaps he might have a chance but right now, he could barely even scratch that Dragon God if ever they fought.

So, Kenshin shook his head and was about to decline when Ophis seemed to have sensed his intention and interrupted him.

"I can give you power if that's what you want."

She sounds desperate, quipped Kenshin but still, he shook his head and replied.

"It's not about the power, I can easily get that with time. I just want to live my life peacefully, just like you. And besides, how large can your home be that you can't find another? There are trillions of ways to find a home all over the Universe, surely it won't hurt to just find a new home, right?"

Despite his words, Ophis refused, "No, it's my home, I lived there first and there's nothing in this world that can make me feel as satisfied as living there."

So it's mostly a matter of pride huh? Kenshin mentally chuckled.

"Alright. How about this, I may not be that powerful enough to take on a God yet, much less a Dragon God but give me enough time and I'll help you."

Before Ophis could reply, which he could already predict what it would be about, Kenshin raised his hand to stop her.

"Let me finish. Whatever your home is, I don't know it nor have any idea how it looks but I have a temporary solution."

He then started walking towards his cabinet, an empty cabinet as he rarely needs to use the cabinet thanks to his Inventory where he can place his clothes, and pulled it open.

Seeing the emptiness inside, Ophis tilted her head in confusion from behind him.

Meanwhile, Kenshin planted his palm on the interior before muttering a spell, "[Space Magic: Ever Expanding Room!]"

The inside of the cabinet suddenly expanded, reaching almost the size of three football fields.

"Is this large enough? The expansion depends on the caster's energy capacity. Mine isn't that large yet but surely, this would do, right?"

However, when he saw her shake her head, he deflated, "What's the problem then? Is it too small?"

She nodded her head, which stunned him.

She wants something even bigger than three football fields? Just how large was her original home then?! Holding himself back from complaining, he calmly told her.

"Well, if this isn't enough and it's my limit, I could transfer the spell's siphon source to you, and with your almost infinite energy capacity, you'll be able to make it as large as you can." Without stating another word, Kenshin manipulated the spell and transferred the energy source from him to her.

"There. Now the space is connected to you. Considering your capacity that I can't even detect, it should be large enough for yo—" Kenshin didn't manage to finish his words as when he looked back at the inside of the cabinet, he froze.

Darkness, that's all there is inside it. Earlier, he could still see the walls of the cabinet thanks to his sharp eyes but now, it's like he's staring at the space itself.

An unending stretch of space.

What is this? My senses can't even reach the end anymore, murmured Kenshin in disbelief.

To his side, Ophis satisfactorily jumped inside and started to float away as if she were in space.

When she twirled around to face him, she waved her hand at him while drifting away. She didn't stop until she was out of his vision.

During that time, Kenshin remained silent, in disbelief of what he was seeing.

"For some reason…there's an entire new universe inside my cabinet…" He finally muttered, still in disbelief.

He murmured for the last time before stepping away from the cabinet, "Well, I hope she doesn't get lost inside and knows where to find the exit…"

Unbeknownst to him, during his time with Ophis, a certain devil was having a panic attack.

———

"What do you mean she's gone? Her entire energy is radiating throughout the entire Universe! She can't just disappear!" A long-haired man, with bangs covering his left eye, gritted his teeth as he received the report from the devils he assigned to keep watch over the little Dragon God roaming Earth.

Everything was going well, he was drafting a plan on how to approach her and trick her to support them when all of a sudden he received the report of her disappearance.

Maybe she teleported back to Dimensional Gap? I don't have any means to go there without being torn to shreds, Shalba muttered to himself as he paced around the room.

"I need someone who specializes in space magic." He sighed.

Suddenly, he recalled a certain someone in his mind, the human magician who used space magic to help Serafall, "The human…"

If I could get to meet that human and trick him into helping me search the Dimensional Gap, I would be able to find the Infinite Dragon God!

Filled with excitement, Shalba grinned and immediately called his subordinates, giving them a new assignment.

To find the human magician who helped Serafall!

Sure, there are many others, especially devils who specialize in Space Magic however, convincing them is another matter, especially since his face is apparently plastered all over the Underworld as a criminal.

Unlike them, humans can easily be convinced with a promise of power, wealth, and longevity. Not to mention, they're easily prone to mind control.

Once the assignment was given, he lay back in his chair and relaxed. Though he was still a bit tense as entering Dimensional Gap and finding the Infinite Dragon God are two different things seperated by their difficulties in a large margin.

"Hopefully, he can be found soon." He murmured to himself.

———

Kenshin waited for a few minutes and seeing that the Dragon God in his cabinet was still inside, he sighed and decided to leave it at that.

The next thing that he should focus on is calming his parents.

As soon as he got out, an entire hour was all it took for them to calm down and ask for the Infinite Dragon God, in which he explained that she's an angel who came from the Heavens to give them her blessing.

Sounds crazy, right?

Not to his parents though, they're religious as fuck. They partially believe in Christianity despite worshiping the Shinto Gods.

So when they heard that Ophis was an angel who blessed them, they immediately went to their knees to pray.

Kenshin left them at that.

He should go and visit Yasaka so they could start with their plan.

Unbeknownst to him, he failed to notice the small gap of an open door from Tomoko's room, her eyes, wide and open—staring directly at his departing back, sometimes wandering to his lower half.

"Suspicious…" She muttered as she squinted her eyes.

When she heard the commotion downstairs earlier, she wanted to go down and see it to herself but was unable to as the moment her door opened, Kenshin was already rushing upstairs with a little girl slumped over his shoulders.

When they entered their room, she wasted no time and quickly planted her ears on her room's walls as her room is just next to Kenshin's.

Even though she barely heard anything and most of it sounded muffled, she could decrypt a few words such as Dragon, Gods, Magic, and Red.

She doesn't know what the last one means entirely but all she knows is that her brother is not normal.

That's right! As a part-time detective thanks to a certain ero-game where she played as a detective, she, Kuroki Tomoko, could definitely tell that her brother is not normal!

No secrets shall be kept hidden from a cute Imouto!
