Sylas
"What the hell is happening?" Ryn's soft voice echoed in the room, and it warmed my heart to hear him speak after so many days apart from him.
He turned to face him, and when their eyes met, he remembered his grandmother's words.
"The boy who is your mate is destined to rule this kingdom one day."
Sylas had expected that Ryn would glare at him or curse at him because he deserved it after all. He had left without a word, but that was not the reaction he received. Instead, Ryn stood up and walked toward him.
"Get off me," Sylas shouted and pushed Kael off him.
"You are here," Ryn muttered when he reached Sylas. "You…" He didn't finish his words as he hugged him. "Sylas," he whispered.
That was not the reaction Sylas expected, and it warmed his heart that Ryn had welcomed him, so he hugged him back tightly, as if his life depended on it. He had missed him so much and hated that the dragon soul had ruined the connection they were building.
"I am sorry," he muttered.
