After the Cycle Merit Web stabilized, Lucien called the Reincarnation Disc closer.
Its surface reflected no face, but Lucien felt countless presences within it.
Souls.
Lucien's gaze cooled.
There were fewer damaged souls than before.
Lucien had repaired what he could.
The souls of those who had fought for the Big World had been prioritized. Their soul damage had been mended through every method Lucien could justify.
As for those who had willingly joined the enemy with full knowledge, those who had sold their world, hunted their own people, fed souls to the Keepers, or treated the Big World as a carcass to carve, Lucien had not wasted mercy where mercy would only insult the dead.
Not every enemy soul had been the same. But the ones who had chosen ruin clearly, completely, and proudly had become materials for repair.
Their remaining soul weight had been recycled to mend those they had helped destroy.
Lucien felt no guilt over that.
Justice did not always need to be loud.
