Before, his inner realm had been enormous.
Now, after he had become an Eternal, after the Tree of Creation had deepened its roots, after laws and ecosystems had settled into place, the inner realm had changed again.
It felt like a small universe learning how to breathe.
The main world turned slowly beneath him.
Above it, in the vast internal void, smaller worlds floated in distant orbits.
Lucien could feel that if he wished, he could create more worlds with a thought and set them into orbit at an angle that would make a scholar cry.
His Divine Energy Core had always been strange.
That had not changed.
If anything, it had become more honest about its strangeness.
