Chapter 110 - Pegasus and Hades

"So that's it. You have another unknown power within you that's healing your injuries." Hades expressed a clear understanding. "I'll remember that."

A fierce wind, mixed with black feathers, enveloped Alone's body. "Don't think you can escape, Pegasus Meteor Fist!"

"You impudent fool! Get back!" Pandora's reprimand echoed simultaneously.

Platinum-white radiance and purple lightning clashed once more. Pandora swung the trident in her hand, and a chariot drawn by three headless horses appeared before Seiya, carrying Alone towards the void.

Seiya clutched his chest. Although he spoke bravely, Alone's devastating blow had indeed gravely wounded him.

However, physical injuries were not fatal to Seiya; what was truly deadly was the Underworld King's power, which sought to force him into eternal slumber.

And Melqart's Authority, The Covenant of Decay and Revival, was desperately trying to transform this power of death into life.

Melqart, as the God-King Baal in Canaanite and Phoenician beliefs, had the cycle of nature as his core myth. Baal experiences periods of abundance and decay each year, and after disasters, he brings the rainy season symbolizing revival. Through his Authority, he can reenact the myth of restoring nature's vitality, making the land fertile again and causing the population to thrive.

For the current situation, it was perfectly suited.

Seiya could foresee that when his injuries healed, his strength would advance further. The best option now was to mend his wounds... but Seiya was staring at the direction he had just passed through in the distance.

Perhaps because of the lingering Underworld King's power in his chest, he could still feel Alone's aura; he was right there.

"I don't care if your hair is red, green, yellow, black, gold, white, or if you've transformed into a Super Saiyan, I told you, didn't I, don't even think about running!"

Gritting his teeth, Seiya forced a smile. He extended his hand, and the blue Strong Wind enveloped his entire body. Instantly, the Pegasus Cloth was fully equipped. And he himself galloped towards the town.

Soon after Seiya left, a golden radiance fell upon the edge of the embankment where he and Pandora had fiercely fought.

It was Dohko of Libra, the Gold Saint. He felt his movements were already swift enough, but he was still a step too late.

He half-crouched on the ground, sensing the lingering traces on this land, and also the three distinctly different, even completely opposing, Cosmo auras.

One was a complete absence of light, knowing only darkness. One was a deep, highly corrosive aura. And the last was an opposing, sacred, pure, and soaring Cosmo power.

Just by relying on the lingering auras, Dohko could completely confirm that Hades, the Underworld King, had been resurrected.

But what truly puzzled him was the Cosmo opposing Hades, the Underworld King. Who was the owner of this power?

However, since he was too late, he would fulfill his duty as a Saint.

He looked again in the direction he was originally supposed to go. There, a pitch-black church, accompanied by soaring stone pillars, stood in the center of the city.

Athena's Saints pushed open the city gates. The blazing light illuminated their Cloths, yet it felt as if they were descending into hell.

In the raging flames that filled the sky, the city wept. Charred bodies were branded onto the ground by the fire, their twisted forms showing that they were still running the moment before death.

As houses collapsed, sparks and smoke rose. Whether rich or poor, old or young, man or woman, all had fallen into eternal slumber.

"...It's simply hell." Shion's lips moved.

And in the very center of this city, a monstrous black church, accompanied by twisting stone pillars, stood at the highest point of the city.

At the very top of this sacred hall, a man in a black robe was painting with the blood of the entire city's inhabitants.

Legend said that in this city there was a legendary painting of a saint; no matter how sinful a person, upon seeing this painting, they would genuinely repent their crimes and weep from the bottom of their heart – such a magical painting.

But the Saints never imagined that this painting would be presented to them in such a way. They even wished they could shed tears of blood rather than witness this cruel scene.

The man on the church closed his eyes. In the painting, the entire city grotesquely twisted upwards: a shattered city, people in suffering, former friends—the whole world centered around one man, reaching out, trying to grasp his robe to find salvation.

It was like a grand sacrifice.

"Bastard! What do you take human lives for?! You damnable bastard!!!"

From beside him, a young Saint with pale green hair, unable to accept the scene before him, charged roaring towards the man in the center of the spiraling church.

"Yato! No! Come back!" Mu of Aries, the Saint, immediately reached out to stop him.

Though he felt immense pain, he did not forget his duty. Their small team's mission was to investigate the possible resurrection of Hades, the Underworld King.

If he had not fully revived, they were to kill him or bring him before the Goddess. If he had revived, they were to conduct reconnaissance.

But facing the fully resurrected Hades, no matter how one fought, there would only be one outcome at this moment. That was to embrace death.

Shion, who wanted to rescue his junior, was repelled by purple lightning descending from the sky. And Yato, the Unicorn Saint, who charged roaring towards Hades, was trampled underfoot.

A warrior clad in a Specter's Surplice descended from the sky, pinning the Unicorn Saint, who was roaring and charging forward with his technique, under his foot.

"Are these Athena's Saints? They all seem like clueless fools." The Specter revealed a twisted smile.

Shion extended his arm, blocking the enraged Saints.

"Lord Shion?!" The Saints looked up at the figure blocking them.

"The situation at this moment is far from optimistic. Hades, the Underworld King, has already revived, and the Specters have gathered under him, ready to dye the world black."

"Now, someone must step forward to buy time for our companions and deliver this message to the Goddess."

The rest didn't need to be said, because at this moment, only he himself, and Aries Gold Saint Shion, had the qualifications to strongly delay the advance of these Specters.

Of course, if these Silver and Bronze Saints were sacrificed, it would be more suitable for him to deliver the message, but the pride of Aries would not allow Shion to commit such a shameless act.

"Don't think too much; you will all die here." The Specter raised his hand.

But at that very moment, Shion, who was raising his hand to unleash Stardust Revolution, Pandora, who was guarding Hades, and even the man who was painting—all paused simultaneously for a fleeting instant.

A platinum-white radiance, like a magnificent sword, pierced into the center of the battlefield. The world fell into a momentary standstill, then a violent shockwave swept through the city.

Most warriors lacking sufficient strength could not see the figure's trajectory, but even ordinary people in the distance could see that awe-inspiring platinum-white radiance rising from the ground.

It was a sacred white, completely antithetical to the darkness shrouding the sky.

"Atomic Thunder Bolt! Pegasus Lightning Plasma!"
