Chapter 1 - Ye Qingtian

"When Ye Qingtian reincarnated in — Tales of Demons And Gods — he asked for three wishes from the entity that gave him this second chance.

● Knowledge. The talent to create any powerful technique, pill, or inscription pattern. He would have to read many books to create or improve techniques.

● Bloodline. A divine bloodline, which makes his body immune to poisons and other negative effects, in addition to great talent.

● Own Cultivation Technique. A technique that strengthens his soul cultivation, physical cultivation, and if he is in bed with a woman, it can increase his and his partner's cultivation simultaneously.

__

Currently, at ten years old, he was sitting in the grand Ye family library. It was nothing compared to the Holy Orchid Institute's library, but it had many books he could use as reference to create new techniques.

Ye Qingtian had not started his cultivation yet. According to Ye Mo, he first needed to build his body as much as possible until he was thirteen, when he could finally begin cultivating.

That's why, over five years, after learning basic education, he started reading every book available. All the books were recorded in a separate space in his mind, where he could find them with a thought.

"Qingtian, you're here." A voice sounded from outside the library.

The door suddenly opened, and a beautiful woman approached, noticing the young man she was looking for immersed in his own thoughts. She walked until she stood in front of him, extending her cold hand, before smiling gently and pinching his cheek.

"Ah!"

Ye Qingtian yelped, taking two steps back before realizing he was no longer alone. "Mom? What are you doing here?" He asked, swallowing the curse word that threatened to escape.

"Why are you surprised?" She smiled. "Have you forgotten that I was the one who showed you this place?" She sat in a chair, crossing her legs gracefully, looking at him.

Ye Qingtian had a handsome face. He wore a long black shirt under a purple robe, and his dark hair looked clean and tidy. His large pair of eyes were extremely mysterious, a shade of purple like hers.

Undoubtedly, that was her son.

Ye Qingtian noticed her gaze on him and smiled bitterly, raising his hands in surrender.

Yes. As stated, this woman was his and Ye Ziyun's mother, who should have died from poison a few years ago. Her name was Ye Zhiqian.

Since Ye Qingtian had memories of the past and managed to realize in time what poison she was infected with, he managed to create an antidote in the form of common tea and give it to her to drink in time.

The poison had not yet fully spread, so the cure was very simple using the right ingredients.

The herb used to poison her was very rare to find. The Cold Fire Star Herb. This was a tyrannical herb that absorbed the person's soul force to spread completely, leaving the person eternally frozen from the inside out in ice.

Luckily, Ye Qingtian noticed in time, and with the help of the "herbal tea," he not only cured her of the poison, but the full potential of the poisonous herb was digested by her body, causing her to advance in a few months from Five-Star Gold Rank to Two-Star Black-Gold Rank.

This news must have made Patriarch Shen Hong spit blood. His purpose was originally to take everything from Ye Zhong, but he not only failed but also ended up helping Ye Zhiqian become one of Glory City's greatest powerhouses and a new threat to him.

Thinking about this, Ye Qingtian couldn't help but smile. 'It hasn't been long since I arrived in this world, and I've already dealt a heavy blow to the Sacred Family. This feeling is really good.'

"All right, Mom. It's my fault." Ye Qingtian replied, sitting down again to continue reading the books. "By the way, I'd like to take the Alchemist Apprentice exam at the Association tomorrow, is that okay?" He looked at her, asking for her opinion.

"Alchemist Apprentice? Is that what you're learning every day here in the library?" She asked, slightly curious.

He nodded confidently, and she then picked up the books on the table, starting to read the titles.

Most were about Alchemy, Medicine, and Inscriptions. They didn't seem like the kind of books young people like him would be interested in. "All right. If that's what you want, I'll ask someone to accompany you there tomorrow." She ruffled his hair, without asking if he was confident or not.

To her, if he decided to do it, it was because he was confident. That's how he always was. A little genius.

"Thank you, Mom." He smiled, a little relieved that she didn't barrage him with questions. And about his confidence... If the test was simply written, he was 100% confident in becoming even an Alchemist Master, let alone a mere apprentice.

"All right, dear." She smiled. "Now put the books away for a moment and let's go, dinner should be ready."

Ye Qingtian looked out the library window and was surprised to see that it was already evening. Without realizing it, he had spent another entire day inside the library. No wonder Ye Zhiqian came looking for him there, even though she rarely did.

He nodded and stood up, starting to put the books away. Ye Zhiqian also helped him, and a few minutes later, the two went down to the first floor.

Before Ye Qingtian could walk to the kitchen to sit down, a swift figure rounded the corner and rushed toward them.

"Qing-geee!" Ye Ziyun shouted.

Before he could react, Ye Qingtian felt her light, soft body throw itself against his, her thin, small arms wrapping tightly around his neck.

"Ziyun...!" He almost lost his balance but quickly held her firmly, smiling as he spun her in the air once before supporting her in his arms.

At ten years old, she was extremely cute. Her face was a bit more rounded, with still softly childish features, but already showed hints of promising future beauty.

Ye Ziyun gazed at him with a wide smile, her face slightly flushed with excitement. Her long purple hair swayed gently with the movement, her eyes of the same color shining as she looked at him.

She wore a light, two-layered hanfu in soft shades of ice blue and pale lilac, with subtle snowflake-shaped embroideries on the sleeves and hem. The fabric was made of silk, very soft and free for movement.

The upper part was fitted to the torso with a white satin belt, tied in a discreet bow on the side. The skirt fell in fluid layers to her ankles, swaying gently with every step.

"You took too long in the library! I was starting to think you don't like me anymore." She pouted, hugging him tightly again.

Ye Qingtian chuckled, stroking her hair affectionately. "How is that possible? I was just studying a bit more. And you? Did you run away from etiquette classes again?"

"I didn't run away," she replied, looking away with feigned innocence. "Maybe... I just left a little before it ended..."

"Sure, sure." Ye Qingtian smiled, before setting her down.

Ye Zhiqian watched the scene with a slight smile on her lips but did not interfere. She was already used to how attached Ye Ziyun was to her brother, and how he reciprocated it with unusual patience and affection for someone so young.

"It's time for dinner, right?" Ziyun asked, pulling his arm and intertwining it with hers, like a little girl who didn't want to let go of her toy. "Let's go together."
