Chapter 92: Creation-Level Martial Art, The Great Wilderness Ancient Monument!
After a brief silence, the camp burst into an uproar!
"He's so strong!"
"He just killed two Form Creation Realm beasts with a single sword!"
"Who is that young man? He looks so young, yet he's terrifyingly powerful!"
"We're saved!"
…
Lin Fan looked at the result of his attack and smiled in satisfaction.
This Thunder Sword, an Earth-grade spirit treasure, had truly lived up to its name.
Although Lin Fan could have killed the two Mist Leopard-Croc Kings on his own, he wouldn't have done it so effortlessly without the Thunder Sword.
Roar! Roar!
At that moment, Huo'er and Xiao Yan let out low growls simultaneously.
"You two gluttons…" Lin Fan chuckled, immediately guessing their thoughts.
Qingtan and Lin Dong were already used to this. They jumped down from the backs of the Fire Python Tigers and stood aside.
With excited growls, the two beasts lunged at the monster corpses, eagerly devouring the beast cores.
The bodies? At their current level, they didn't even care for them anymore.
Lin Fan shook his head and flashed over to the camp's center, landing beside the middle-aged man who had been leading the defense.
"It's done."
The man cupped his fists gratefully.
"I am Jiang Lei, Master of the Eagle Martial Hall. On behalf of my sect, I thank you for saving us, young master. May I ask your name?"
"Lin Fan," he replied casually. "These are my younger brother and sister—Lin Dong and Lin Qingtan."
"No need to thank us. We simply happened to pass by. Though we would appreciate it if someone could guide us out of this place."
Jiang Lei said seriously,
"Perhaps this means little to you, Young Master Lin, but to us, you've saved our lives. The Eagle Martial Hall will not forget this favor."
Lin Fan only smiled without saying more.
At that moment, two females—one young, one older—walked over hand in hand.
"Big brother, you're amazing!"
The little girl, no older than twelve or thirteen, looked up at Lin Fan with sparkling eyes full of admiration.
Jiang Lei introduced them with a smile.
"These are my daughters, Jiang Xue and Jiang Yinyin. The one speaking is my youngest, Yinyin."
Lin Fan chuckled and gently patted her head.
"You'll be amazing too someday."
[Ding! You touched Jiang Yinyin and obtained: Creation-Level Martial Art – Thunderflash Sword Art!]
The system's familiar chime rang in Lin Fan's mind again.
Creation-level martial art? Very nice!
Lin Fan was quite pleased. He had just drawn the Thunder Sword from Qingtan—now he had a matching sword art. Perfect!
"Really? I'll be just like you?" Yinyin's eyes sparkled even more.
Lin Fan nodded. "That's right. Someday, you'll surpass me."
"Thank you," said Jiang Xue, the older sister, though her gaze at Lin Fan was a little complex.
Lin Fan waved it off. "No need for formalities. Let's talk about how to get out of this Misty Forest."
Jiang Lei replied,
"Traveling by night is risky—even we could get lost. It's best to wait until daylight."
"Alright, we'll move out tomorrow then," Lin Fan nodded. He wasn't in a rush. A single night wasn't going to delay anything important.
That night, Lin Fan and the others stayed in the Eagle Martial Hall's camp. It was uneventful.
The next morning, they had a simple breakfast and resumed their journey.
Lin Fan's group sat in the most luxurious carriage in the convoy.
The members of the Eagle Martial Hall looked at them with sincere gratitude and made no complaint about yielding the best spot.
To Lin Fan's mild dismay, Jiang Yinyin also squeezed in and sat next to him, full of admiration.
Meanwhile, Huo'er and Xiao Yan, having mastered a new ability after advancing to the Form Creation Realm, had shrunk to kitten size and were being carried by Qingtan and Lin Dong.
"Big brother, you were soooo amazing last night!" Yinyin said again for the who-knows-how-many-th time, stars in her eyes.
Lin Fan smiled politely.
"Train hard, and one day you'll be able to protect your father and sister."
"I will!" Yinyin said with a determined nod.
Then she turned toward Qingtan and asked sweetly,
"Big sis Qingtan, Huo'er is so cute! Can I hold him?"
Qingtan was delighted by the girl's enthusiasm—especially since it was the first time someone called her "big sis."
"Of course. Here you go."
She handed Huo'er over. The tiger huffed but didn't resist.
Yinyin examined him curiously.
"He was huge yesterday! How come he's so small now?"
Qingtan smiled.
"That's a special ability Huo'er gained after reaching the Form Creation Realm. He can change his size."
"Wow, that's amazing!"
As Qingtan and Yinyin chatted, Lin Fan finally enjoyed a rare moment of peace.
She was adorable, sure—but her enthusiasm was a little overwhelming.
"Young Master Lin Fan, we'll be out of the Misty Forest in about half a day,"
Jiang Lei rode up next to the carriage and reported.
"Good. I've had enough of this creepy place," Lin Fan replied with a light smile.
"Brother Lin, if I may ask… you came to the Great Wilderness Province for the Great Wilderness Ancient Monument, right?"
Jiang Lei seemed to suddenly remember something.
"The Great Wilderness Ancient Monument? What's that?" Lin Dong asked curiously.
"…Eh?"
Jiang Lei was briefly stunned. Even Jiang Xue and the others were surprised.
They hadn't expected Lin Dong to have never heard of it.
Lin Fan chuckled,
"I've heard the name, but I'm not too familiar with it. Please tell us more."
"Haha, no problem," Jiang Lei smiled and explained everything.
"What? It contains Creation-level martial arts and even Earth-grade spirit treasures?!"
Lin Dong and Qingtan were shocked by what they heard.
Lin Fan, on the other hand, wasn't surprised.
Jiang Lei added,
"The monument's seal weakens once every three years. That's when it's easiest to enter and claim its treasures."
"So around that time, countless powerful figures flock to the Great Wilderness Province."
"How long until the next opening?" Lin Dong asked eagerly.
