Chapter 11: I Dunno, But She's Just Too Beautiful...

— Ruby

I was at my company, Lunes Foundation. My manager came into my office—dark-themed, with a huge desk, sofa, a small glass table, shelves for my files, and another shelf for books. My office has glass doors, but you can't see through them, and they're soundproof.

I also don't know why... but still.

My manager came and said,

Mr. Ruby, someone wants to meet you. Her name is "Mireline Vale."

I was thinking—why the hell is she here?

Okay, let her in.

Instead of saying that, I just said it casually…

Of course, how could I reject her?

That's my biggest mistake.

She came in and told me about that competition.

Why me?

What am I to you guys? Nothing… right?

> "You had to come."

> "Why?" I raised my right brow.

> "'Cause I said so. You're younger than me. Let's go."

Wait—how old are you?

Did she just say she's older than me?

She smirked and said,

> "Twenty-seven."

I almost choked on my own saliva. She's 27.

No, that's nothing that special—but she looked like she was 24.

And Aveline—she's 20.

I'm 25.

So yeah, Mireline really is the eldest among us.

I said,

> "Okay, I'll come. Lemme just complete my work."

I don't know why I agreed with her to go in competition, but i wanted to saw her saw her dancing.

I agreed to her cuz I wanted to go even though I'm no one to her ....

Once I was done with everything, we went to see her competition.

Yes, Aveline Vale.

We sat down in our seats—the front ones, not in the corner, right in the center.

That meant the whole stage was in view.

I had a good view.

The competition started.

I looked emotionless.

They were all very beautiful, and danced well, but… I was bored.

No one could attract me.

That's what I told myself—until I saw her.

She was in a pale, beautiful dark blue dress.

Her long, soft violet hair was in a single braid.

She looked like a princess.

Yes, a princess.

So beautiful.

Her blue eyes with that dark dress—just perfect.

I couldn't even blink.

Not looking at her? Not even possible.

I don't know why…

But I wanted her.

I wanted her. Aveline Vale.

She was dancing—so gently, so perfectly.

She moved her hair. It was in a loose braid, and it opened while she moved.

She spun in a circle.

The way her hair opened… the way she stretched her neck…

I couldn't resist that.

She didn't just attract me.

She did.

She did.

She did posses me.she just didn't attract me she posses me when I saw her I forget about everything,I just know her.

She was breathing heavily and looking at me.

I met her gaze.

She's so beautiful.

But it's a different kind of beauty.

She's a university student, just studying…

But before, she didn't even seem alive.

But while dancing?

She's not just alive—she's herself.

Like dance is her life.

I don't know why, but from now on,

I don't want anyone to cage her.

I don't want anyone to take away her freedom,

or that passion she has for dance.

She looked happy.

A rare kind of happy.

She looked alive.

I wanted to protect that.

I'm no one.

No one to her.

But; I still wanted to be someone—

someone who protects her happiness.
