Chapter 145 - Chapter 145: Clearing Out the Hulk Gang

The explosion was not the end of the battle; on the contrary, it was merely the beginning. Although most of the Hulks had been killed by the massive blast, dozens of mangled Hulks still stood up. They didn't possess the powerful healing abilities of their Banner father or grandfather, but their vitality remained terrifyingly tenacious.

One Hulk after another stood up, their gazes fiercely fixed on the three reckless individuals who had charged into the camp. For them, the death of their comrades was nothing to mourn; there were plenty of women in the wasteland anyway, just capture them and breed, and it would all be fine.

"Flay them alive!"

One Hulk roared, leaping towards Spider-Man. Peter activated the backpack on his back, and the Iron Spider armor instantly covered his entire body. The three mechanical arms behind him clamped down on the Hulk hurtling through the air, then Hawkeye's specialized arrow shattered that Hulk's skull.

Green blood splattered on the armor's faceplate, and Peter was surprised to feel no emotional reaction. Although he hadn't personally killed them, he had indeed witnessed their deaths and hadn't stopped it. This wasn't him respecting the laws of this wasteland; it was simply that when he saw what was in the pot, he understood one thing clearly.

Any normal person had the right to punish these beasts. These guys could no longer be considered human; they were simply animals.

Three Hulks targeted the aging Hawkeye, seemingly the weakest link, and charged forward. Hawkeye first drew his bow, precisely firing an explosive arrow that pierced the first Hulk's eye, watching its head explode. Then, a second arrow, a rope arrow, tangled around the next Hulk's feet. As he stumbled, Hawkeye stepped on his head and fired an arrow at the third charging Hulk.

This arrow pierced the Hulk's body. Liquid metal covered the opponent's face, then completely incinerated them. As the Hulk plummeted from mid-air, Hawkeye, without looking back, drew his bow and, with a specialized metal arrowhead capable of piercing these inferior Hulks' heads, shot through the head of the Hulk under his foot.

"These little brats are too weak, far worse than their old man. They can't even beat an ordinary old guy with a bow and arrow."

As the battle progressed, these Hulk descendants gradually lost their life force, falling one by one. It was at this moment, when all the chaotic sounds finally ceased, that a trembling, ancient voice finally spoke.

"Who's making all that noise?"

A gaunt old man emerged from a cave behind the camp, seemingly awakened by the massive explosion. When he saw Spider-Man and Deadpool in the clearing, he revealed an unusually excited smile. What did he see? Were they just two boring imitators, or real, genuine heroes?

This was Bruce Banner, suppressed for too long. Since the Post-Apocalyptic War, neither Red Skull nor Doom had been willing to fight him. They would rather abandon the entire West Coast than eliminate that terrifying Hulk. In order to pursue a satisfying battle in his final years, he had thoroughly humiliated that old geezer Wolverine, and the land rent had been increasing year after year.

He hadn't expected Wolverine, despite his iron bones, to truly have no backbone left, enduring such humiliation. He wondered if he had to kill Wolverine's wife and children someday before the guy would finally unleash his claws.

But there was no need now, because today, opponents had arrived who were enough to satisfy him!

"Hahaha, you're too kind. It's one thing to come yourselves, but you even brought a bonus gift."

"Bonus gift?" The aging Hawkeye, seeing Bruce Banner's gaze, mockingly fired an arrow at Banner. Although his vision was far from what it used to be, this arrow was incredibly precise, flying straight towards Banner's head. However, the elderly Banner merely extended his hand, caught the arrow mid-air, and then snapped it.

Then, he leaped high. His emaciated body crashed onto the ground, creating a massive crater. This was the current Bruce Banner, who had, over a long period, used his abnormal personality to erase other Hulk personalities. Even without transforming, he possessed superhuman strength far exceeding the other Hulks in the Hulk Gang.

"Come! Heroes! Let's see what you're truly capable of!"

Banner roared, then saw a grenade roll to his side. This wasn't an explosive grenade. The small-range ultrasonic burst instantly made the old man painfully fall to his knees. Deadpool, wearing headphones and wielding a katana, walked over, revealing his smile.

"You know, we don't have enough money for that many CGI effects, so big guy, you're out."

The sword swung down.

The Adamantium katana landed on Banner's neck, almost decapitating him, but halfway through the cut, rapidly expanding green muscles stopped the blade. Deadpool yelled "Not good!" and was then pushed to the ground by the rapidly expanding Hulk.

Neither Peter nor Deadpool, nor Hawkeye as a local, had ever seen a Hulk like this. His body was bloated and enormous, his once astonishing muscles had disappeared, replaced by green flab. His frame was even larger than before, easily over five meters tall. His head was almost hairless, and his green skin had many scars and decaying flesh, making him look incredibly bizarre and terrifying.

The Hulk grabbed Deadpool, who was pinned under his butt.

"No, I warn you not to! Juggernaut already did that in the movie!"

Deadpool, whose arms and legs were each held by one of the Hulk's hands, screamed. The Hulk ignored Hawkeye's arrows hitting his face, instead grinning savagely as he ripped Deadpool in half, then tossed him aside.

He looked at Spider-Man, clad in the Iron Spider armor, and scoffed.

"Are you really Spider-Man? Just watching your teammate get beaten without doing anything."

"Firstly, I'm pretty sure Wade won't die. Secondly, he's buying me time."

The Hulk froze.

Buying time? Buying time for what?

"Buying time until the flames aren't so scorching."

Venom seeped out from the armor's seams, instantly enveloping Peter's entire body. But this time, Venom wasn't simply covering Peter's body or armor; it continuously expanded, eventually transforming into a massive monster nearly three meters tall, with bulging muscles, even more ferocious eyes, a gaping maw full of fangs, and a long, flicking tongue.

"How about a fight with a more evenly matched opponent, you bastard?"
