I gently removed myself from Kyle’s grasp so that I could turn around to meet his eyes directly. A fond smile spread on my lips as I took in the concern tensing his shoulders and furrowing his brow.
“Ah, you really do tend to see me as more frail than I actually am. At this point, I don’t know what else I can do to convince you that I’m not,” I said playfully, tugging him toward the door as my other hand firmly grasped Miu’s hand. “Come on—we should get going before the sun sets.”

Whenever the mood struck us for a walk—be it due to my own will or because Kyle forced me out of the house—our walking route was always the same. If we were in Sorent, we would follow the small trail leading from the back of the cottage up the ridge of the nearby mountain, and when we stayed in Tezeva, like today, we would take a stroll around the nearby park.
