Chapter 33 - Chapter 33 : Bloodlines and Crosshairs

Location: London – Black Briar Safehouse

Rain drummed against the windows, the skyline bleeding silver light through the haze. Devon stood before a holographic display, blue code dancing across his lenses. Every feed, every satellite image, pointed to one thing Nekrom.

The ghost in the system.

Behind him, his crew moved with silent precision. Lacy, infiltration expert, armed and agile .Raven, drone pilot and comms tactician, her eyes never leaving the aerial feed .Logan, the enforcer calm, efficient, and ex–SAS, with scars that told stories no one dared ask about.

Lacy looked up from her console. "Nekrom's expanding fast. He's hijacked Echelon grids in three countries. If he gets the God's Eye, he'll own every piece of data on the planet."

Devon's jaw tightened. "That's not happening."

Raven spun her chair. "Problem is, Dom's got the Eye locked down tight guarded by half the CIA. Getting close means going through him."

Devon exhaled, eyes distant. "Then we don't go through him."

He turned, pulling out a secure satellite phone."I'll call someone who can."

Location: Unknown – Safehouse, London Outskirts

Deckard Shaw sat in silence, staring at an old photograph him, Owen, and Devon, much younger, smiling beside their father's old garage. The moment was interrupted by the phone's encrypted chime.

He picked it up. "Talk to me."

Devon: "I need you for a job."Deckard: "Must be serious if you're calling me."Devon: "Nekrom. He's behind the attacks Echo Park, the black sites, even the virus that hit Tokyo's grid."Deckard: "Then say the word. I'll put him in the ground."

Devon hesitated. "This isn't just another hit, Deck. He's not some thug. He's a strategist, like me but with no conscience. He wants control of the God's Eye."

Deckard loaded a round into his rifle. "Then it's simple. You stop Toretto. I'll stop Nekrom."

Devon: "We do this clean. One shot. No mess."Deckard: "You know me, brother always tidy."

The line went dead.

Devon lowered the phone slowly, staring out the rain-slicked window. "Let's hope you still remember who the real enemy is."

Location: Los Angeles – CIA Convoy Route

Night fell hard over the city. The roar of tuned engines echoed through the valley as a convoy of armored trucks cut across the desert highway Dom's crew escorting the God's Eye under Mr. Nobody's orders.

Brian drove point.Tej and Roman flanked in support vehicles.Dom's Charger led the pack, black paint gleaming under drone lights.

Inside one of the transports, Ramsey sat strapped in beside the device a polished black server drive wired into a portable generator.

She checked the readings. "Signal integrity's holding. No signs of interception."

Then her screen flickered. Static. Lines of code flashed symbols she didn't recognize.

"Wait… something's breaching the firewall."

Location: London – Command Hub

Devon sat before his console, typing fast. His crew surrounded him Raven guiding drone coordinates, Lacy feeding security overrides, Logan checking tactical readouts.

Raven smirked. "God's Eye encryption cracked. They'll never see us coming."

Devon nodded. "Good. Keep it quiet until extraction."

Lacy grinned. "Where's Deckard?"

Devon checked his side display a satellite feed showing Nekrom's Arctic base lit by spotlights.

"He's on his way to end a ghost."

Location: Arctic Circle – Nekrom's Fortress

The wind howled across a frozen wasteland .Perched high on a ridge, Deckard Shaw adjusted his sniper rifle, breathing slow and steady. His scope locked on a glass observation deck overlooking the icy compound.

Inside stood Nekrom tall, encased in matte black armor threaded with blue energy lines, speaking to unseen subordinates through a holographic projection.

Deckard smirked. "Target acquired."

Through his earpiece, Devon's voice came in calm.

Devon: "Make it count, brother."

Deckard steadied his aim. "Always do."

He exhaled heartbeat slowing finger tightening on the trigger.

CRACK.

The bullet tore through the wind, slicing the frozen air in silence.

It struck true straight through Nekrom's skull.

The figure collapsed sparks flashing as metal and circuitry scattered across the floor.

Deckard frowned. "What the hell"

The body twitched then glitched, the head splitting open to reveal a robotic core.

A decoy.

Nekrom's voice echoed through the comms, distorted and low. "Impressive shot… shame it wasn't me."

Deckard rolled aside just as automated turrets swiveled toward his ridge.

"Bloody hell."

He dove behind a snowbank as the ridge exploded in a storm of gunfire.

Location: Los Angeles – Highway Intercept

Back on the desert highway, chaos erupted.

EMP bursts detonated along the convoy. Engines died. Power systems crashed.

A matte-black car streaked past the horizon Devon's custom GT-R, flanked by Lacy's bike, Raven's drone carrier, and Logan's tactical truck.

Dom swerved, forcing a roadblock. "We've got company!"

Brian shouted, "They're jamming us!"

From above, Raven's drones dropped flash EMPs, shorting out half the convoy.

Tej cursed. "These guys move like ghosts!"

Dom slammed the Charger into Devon's flank, sparks flying. "You picked the wrong road, Shaw!"

Devon countersteered, eyes locked. "Not wrong just necessary."

As Lacy zipped through smoke and fire, she leapt from her bike, hooked the transport door, and slid inside mid-motion. Ramsey spun, gun raised too slow. Lacy's shock baton cracked against her wrist.

Raven's drones synced with Devon's HUD he guided them with precision.

In one sweep, Logan detached the cargo trailer, Raven's drone magnetized the core, and the God's Eye lifted out into their grasp.

Dom slammed his Charger to a halt, stepping out, face full of rage as the GT-R disappeared into the night.

Devon's voice echoed over their comms calm, almost regretful.

"You can't stop a storm, Dom. You can only decide which side you're standing on when it hits."

And then he was gone.

Location: Arctic Circle – Aftermath

Deckard's comms crackled.

Devon: "Report."

Deckard crawled from the wreckage, breathing hard. "Your ghost wasn't human. I shot a damn android."

Devon's eyes narrowed. "Then Nekrom's playing deeper than I thought."

Deckard stood, brushing snow from his gear. "Then it's time we go hunting."

Devon's voice dropped low. "Already in motion."
