Chapter 37 - Chapter 36:- Be Mine

Takuya didn't relent. His grip on her jaw softened slightly, the possessive drag of his thumb stopping, but his hand remained firmly lodged between her breasts, a constant, searing reminder of their position.

His other hand still anchored her abdomen, keeping her seated deep in his lap. The predatory glint in his eyes didn't fade, but it shifted, becoming calculating, demanding.

"Since you took the first... decisive action, Princess," he murmured, his husky whisper still vibrating against her ear, "Let's keep it like this. Honest. Direct." His thumb on her jaw now traced a feather-light, almost mocking path along her lower lip.

"The fire's lit, Vivi. You sat in the flames. Now, while you're here, pinned by your own recklessness... why don't you actually use this attention you demanded? Voice the problems eating you alive.

The ones you think only a 'strong man' can fix. No more jealous tantrums disguised as demands." His hand between her breasts pressed again, not cruelly this time, but insistently. "Talk. Like this. While you can still feel how real this is."

The command, delivered in that low, dangerous rumble while he held her in such an unbearably intimate and exposed position, shattered the last of Vivi's resistance.

The flustered horror, the shock, the sheer overwhelming sensory overload – it all coalesced into a dam break of pent-up terror and despair. Shame burned hot on her cheeks, warring with the desperate need to finally say it.

Tears, no longer just threatening, spilled over, tracing hot paths down her flushed face. She tried to turn her head away, humiliated by crying in front of him like this, trapped against his chest, but his grip on her jaw held firm, forcing her to face him even as she wept.

"It's... it's falling apart!" The words burst out, choked and ragged, thick with tears. Her body trembled violently against his. "Alabasta... the sandstorms... they're not natural! Crocodile... he's behind it all!

He's... he's turning the people against my father! Spreading lies! Making them think the King is starving them, stealing the rain!" Sobs wracked her, making it hard to breathe. "They... they hate him! My father! The kindest man... who would die for them! And I... I can't stop it!"

She gasped for air, the confession tumbling out in a torrent fueled by fear and the inescapable pressure of his presence. "The rebels... They're growing! Armed! Ready to march on Alubarna! Innocent people... my people... they'll kill each other! In the streets! Because of Crocodile's lies!"

Her voice rose to a desperate, tear-filled wail. "And I'm here! Sailing! Helpless! While my home burns! While my father sits on that throne, knowing his people want him dead, knowing war is coming... and he just... accepts it! To protect me! To give me this chance!"

Vivi squeezed her eyes shut, more tears flooding out. "Every night... I see it. The sand swallowing cities. The blood in the streets. My father... alone... facing the mob. I hear the screams..." She shuddered violently, her voice dropping to a broken whisper.

"I'm so scared. So terrified I'll be too late. That I'll sail back... only to find... only to find ashes... and graves." A heartbroken sob escaped her. "The weight... it's crushing me. I can't breathe sometimes. I feel so... so alone. Like the whole sky is falling and I'm the only one trying to hold it up with my bare hands."

She finally sagged against him, utterly spent, her forehead pressing against the base of his neck where his hand held her jaw. Her body trembled with the force of her weeping, the raw, unfiltered terror and grief of a princess carrying the impending doom of her kingdom finally laid bare.

The intimate position, his hands still holding her captive, felt less like a trap now and more like the only thing keeping her from collapsing entirely under the weight of her confession.

The moonlight shone on her tear-streaked face, pressed against him, the scandalous intimacy now underscored by profound, devastating vulnerability. The dangerous promise still hung in the air, but it was momentarily eclipsed by the sheer, crushing reality of her fear laid bare in his lap.

Takuya listened silently as Vivi poured out her terror, her body shaking against his. When her words finally dissolved into exhausted sobs, he didn't loosen his hold. His gaze, intense but no longer purely predatory, remained fixed on her tear-streaked face pressed against his neck.

"Alright," he said, his voice low but firm, cutting through her crying. "Enough tears, Princess. Save them for later." He shifted slightly, his hand still resting possessively between her breasts, the other firm on her stomach. "I'll help you."

Vivi's trembling slowed. She lifted her head slightly, sniffling, her red-rimmed eyes searching his face through blurry tears. "Y-You will?" Her voice was hoarse, fragile.

"I'll help you save your people," Takuya stated, his tone leaving no room for doubt. "With the least blood spilled. Minimum casualties. That's the deal."

Relief, sharp and overwhelming, washed over Vivi. Her breath hitched. "If... if you do that..." she whispered, her voice thick with desperate hope. "I'll be forever grateful. Truly. I'll... I'll do whatever you ask. Anything." The promise tumbled out, fueled by the weight of her kingdom's fate.

Takuya's eyes narrowed slightly. A hint of a sharp smile touched his lips. "Anything? Brave offer, Princess. I hope you mean it." His gaze locked onto hers, intense and possessive.

"Cause I want you, Princess." His hand between her breasts pressed firmly, emphasizing his point. "When this is done... you'll be mine. My woman. Completely. Body and soul. You'll belong to me."

Vivi froze. Her eyes widened, the relief momentarily eclipsed by shock. The raw, possessive demand was far more direct than she'd expected. A fierce blush exploded across her face and neck, clashing with her tear-strained skin.

Her heart hammered against his palm where it rested. She could feel the heat radiating from his hand pressed intimately against her chest, a constant reminder of their compromising position. The sheer boldness of his claim – "Body and soul." "Belong to me." – stole her breath.

She stared at him, trapped by his gaze and his grip. Shame warred with the desperate need for his help. The thought of belonging to him, in that way, sent a confusing jolt through her – part fear, part unwanted thrill. But the image of Alabasta burning, her people dying, was stronger. Much stronger.

Slowly, her gaze dropped. She couldn't hold his intense stare. Her voice was barely a whisper, thick with embarrassment and resignation. "...Yes." She swallowed hard, forcing the words past the lump in her throat.

"If... if you save them... I'll be yours. However you want. I promise, I won't question anything" The promise felt heavy, terrifying, but necessary. She gave a small, jerky nod against his restraining hand on her jaw.

Takuya's smile widened, triumphant and predatory. "Good girl," he murmured, the words a dark caress. "That's settled then."

His thumb brushed her lower lip again. "And I hope you won't question how I help. My methods. My actions. Even if they seem... harsh, weird, questionable. Or confusing. Understand?"

Vivi met his gaze, the fear for her people drowning out her earlier fluster and shame. "It doesn't matter," she breathed, conviction firming her voice despite its shakiness. "However you do it. Whatever you have to do. Just... save them. Save Alabasta. Minimize the dying. Fix things. That's all that matters."

Takuya's smile widened, genuine and dangerous. "Deal," he murmured. Before Vivi could react, he leaned down and captured her lips in a firm, decisive kiss.

It wasn't gentle or romantic; it was a seal, a claiming, intense and brief. He pulled back just as quickly, leaving her stunned, lips tingling, a fresh blush exploding across her cheeks.

He leaned close to her ear again, his breath hot. His hands between her breasts were now properly on her breasts, specifically her left breasts just above her heart, his hands pressed more deliberately, his fingers subtly shifting against the soft curves of her breasts as he could feel the softness of her breasts along with the now erect nipples.

Simultaneously, his other hand slid from her stomach down towards her thigh, applying gentle pressure to spread her legs slightly wider where she sat straddling his lap. The movement was deliberate, shocking in its intimacy.

"Once I save your desert kingdom, Princess," he whispered, the promise dark and thrilling, "we'll continue what we're leaving unfinished here." He paused, letting the implication sink in, feeling her tense beneath his touch.

"Sleeping with a princess, making her my woman after being her hero..." His voice dropped to a husky murmur filled with dark amusement. "...sounds far more fun than just cookies, don't you think?"

Vivi's eyes flew wide. Her blush deepened, burning from her cheeks down her neck. A strangled gasp escaped her. Utterly flustered and overwhelmed – by the kiss, the touch, the promise, the sheer audacity – she couldn't form words. All she could do was nod jerkily, her gaze dropping in embarrassment mixed with a confusing thrill she couldn't deny.

Takuya chuckled softly, a low rumble in his chest. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out another cookie and gently pressed it against Vivi's lips. "Eat princess," he said, his voice softer now, but still commanding.

Still trembling, her mind reeling, Vivi obediently parted her lips. He placed the cookie in her mouth. The familiar sweet-savory chocolate flavor burst on her tongue, a bizarre contrast to the electric tension thrumming through her body. She chewed slowly, mechanically, the simple act strangely grounding.

He fed her the cookie slowly, piece by piece, his intense gaze watching her. The sugar, the familiar taste, his oddly calming presence despite the intimacy, and the sheer exhaustion from her emotional outburst gradually took effect.

The frantic trembling eased. Her breathing slowed, deepening. The panicked flutter in her chest settled into a heavy, weary thud.

By the time the cookie was gone, Vivi's eyelids were drooping heavily. The adrenaline had drained completely, the worries of her kingdom washed out by Takuya's assurance left her with a weird sense of calm, leaving behind just bone-deep fatigue.

The warmth of his body, the solid feel of his arms around her (even possessively), and the lingering taste of smooth chocolate created an unexpected, drowsy comfort amidst the chaos.

Her head lolled forward, resting heavily against his chest, her body going limp against his.

Takuya held her securely as her breathing evened out completely, deepening into the rhythm of sleep. He adjusted his hold, making sure she was supported, his hand resting protectively on her back now, the other still loosely on her thigh.

He looked down at the sleeping princess in his lap, her face finally peaceful, tear tracks drying on her cheeks. As he placed her as well back in her bed, tucking her.
