Episode 24: The Crimson Watcher

Far from the silver glow of the moonlit forest, deep beneath the cracked bones of the world, a place untouched by light stirred.

A forgotten gate—etched with runes older than language—creaked open, dust rising like the breath of a slumbering beast. A long, skeletal hand reached through the veil of shadows, touching the cold ground.

The Crimson Watcher had awakened.

Eyes that had witnessed the fall of kingdoms flickered open. Glowing red like blood under fire.

"She has awakened the Moonblade…" the voice growled, raspy and thick with centuries of hatred. "Then the prophecy walks again."

Back in the forest, Juvia jerked upright. Her breath caught in her throat as a flash of pain shot through her chest. She could feel something. A ripple in the world. A warning.

Luna rushed to her. "You felt it too?"

Juvia nodded. "Something is moving. Something ancient."

Ha-jun stepped forward, his expression grim. "The Crimson Watcher. He was the one Arion feared. The real master of the Eclipse Order."

Luna's face paled. "That monster hasn't walked this realm in over a thousand years."

Juvia gripped her moonstone blade. "Then why now?"

Ha-jun's jaw clenched. "Because the Moonblade has chosen its wielder. And prophecy demands balance. For every light… darkness awakens."

Suddenly, the Heart of the Moon began to glow—not white this time, but red. Pulsing… shaking… bleeding energy into the air. The sky dimmed. The trees swayed though there was no wind.

"We have to move," Luna said, urgency in her voice. "The Crimson Watcher will come for the Heart. And if he takes it—"

"The moon will fall," Juvia whispered.

But it was already too late.

The ground split beneath them. A roar echoed through the forest—inhuman, furious, ancient. From the shadows, black tendrils exploded upward, wrapping around trees and soil, pulling something monstrous from the depths.

A figure began to rise—twice the height of a man, its face hidden beneath a crimson hood, its arms chained with ancient seals. It breathed smoke. Its aura crushed the air.

The Crimson Watcher stood before them.

"You," he hissed, pointing a chained hand at Juvia. "You carry her light… and I will snuff it out."

Ha-jun stepped in front of Juvia, blades drawn. "You'll have to go through me."

"Gladly," the Watcher sneered—and with a single stomp, sent a shockwave that sent all three flying.

Juvia rolled across the ground, coughing, her vision blurry. She rose, trembling, the moonblade glowing brighter as if reacting to the presence of its ancient enemy.

The battle for the moon… had begun.
