I decided to read it. I braced myself and flipped a page.
May 22nd, a peaceful and uneventful day. Or so I thought. It was definitely not the most normal day in my life. Why, you ask? It's because there's a transfer student today.
What a cliché!
Is there any romance and drama that would happen in this boring school. Because if there is one then I would be happy to avoid it. A little bit overdramatic, don't you think? I mean you can't blame me. Reading a lot of books never help my delusions.
I literally thought she was here saying all this. It just feels so real. I smiled faintly and continued.
I sat at my usual spot. The desk at the corner of the room located at the back. My typical heroine life is starting again. I'm the main character. That's what I think. Me and my delusions.
Everyone is so noisy. Chattering, giggling, and gossiping like id*ots. The noise stopped as the teacher opened the door. Sir Quenz walked in and looked at everyone of us. He gazed back at the door and signaled at the person at it. Wait, so it's a guy. Well, I expected that. He stood beside the teacher's desk while Sir Quenz wrote his name. 'Liose Arnallvee'. The girls giggled like 9 year olds and made hearts at him. Ugh, so obvious!
Well I would not think that they're wrong with that reaction. I mean he is remarkable but not as remarkable as all of my prince. They're imaginary but it's fine. He was tall. And handsome at that. Blond hair and blue eyes, definitely with a blood from another country. It doesn't really matter since he has an arrogant air around him. Maybe a brat from a wealthy family.
I looked at those words with annoyance. So this is what she thought back then. Arrogant and brat, so judgemental.
"I'm Liose Arnallvee, 17 years old and I hope for a warm welcome from all of you!"
He said with a smile. Yup, right now I'm thinking that he have some sort of golden retriever personality. That's good, quite promising.
Oh really, after the insult earlier. Good? Quite promising? You should've just written good things you know! I brushed it off and read again.
It was like some film. Our eyes met and he smiled at me. So cliché!!!
I frowned at him and rolled my eyes. I decided to looked down at the field. The soccer team is going at it again. Aren't they tired?
I remembered this one! She gave me an attitude on my first day. Like who's the arrogant now, huh? Honestly I'm thankful that she didn't gave me the same treatment as everyone else. I got curious of her. I mean with my looks everyone smiles at me. But she didn't. So I decided to get to know her. I kinda annoyed her. Now back to the diary!
I heard the seat from the desk beside me made a sound. And that's another cliché! Seriously! Is God tryna hook me up with someone and make my life look like a novel. This is too common for a trope. Can the universe at least give me enemies to friends trope 'cause I would love that more than this! I felt his gaze on me. No way I'm looking at you dude! Unless I want to unlock some sort of romance event.
The class continued without any conversation between us. But sometimes I do feel him glancing at me. Stop that, please! You're kinda getting me in a big trouble y'know. I also felt another another eyes looking at me. Honestly it screams bad, another problem everyone.
The bell rang and I quickly ran for my life. This d*mn Liose Arnallvee caught my arm and looks like he wants to say something but that doesn't matter. I aggressively took my arm and ran. I don't want to be in for something today.
I arrived at the rooftop and made sure no one followed me. That was tough. I decided to just draw when I heard the door of the rooftop open. Liose and I stared at each other and said "ah" at the same time.
"Aah!! You're my seatmate. What was it your name again?"
I ignored him and continued drawing. But it seems that this guy is not that good at reading the room. Well this is not a room. Should I say reading the air? Or rooftop? Ugh...nevermind.
"What are you drawing? Oh! It's good. I'm Liose Arnallvee, 17 years old. Since we're seatmates, can you please talk to me?"
I ignored him, again. This guy has some nerve, really. After a pause, he took my sketch pad and I was trying to reach it. You can guess what's coming right? Yup, this m*th*rf*ck*r used his height so I won't reach it. I'm starting to get annoyed, maybe I'm already annoyed so I shouted at him.
"F*ck you, give me that! Don't use your height! You're being unfair, you f*cking giraffe!"
He was shocked and guess what, me too. I didn't mean to shout at him and cuss. I was embarrassed at the moment when I saw him smile.
"You finally looked at me."
It was a moment. That moment. When someone looked at you and you felt recognized. I felt like I existed.
"Oh! It's today?"
I stopped when I heard him say that. I looked at what he's looking at and it's my drawing. Below it, was a note, 'Happy Birthday to me♡♡♡.
He doodled something on it and gave it back to me.
"Happy Birthday!"
He said before closing the door of the rooftop. I opened the page where he doodled and saw a drawing of what looks like a dog and saw a note beside it.
'Happy Birthday (^3^♪ -from Liose Arnallvee'
I chuckled for a certain reason that I don't know. "It looks more like a goat".
It was this day. I was actually still behind the door when I heard her laugh. It was somewhat refreshing. But more than that. What do you mean that it looks like a goat?! It's a dog, a cute one!
The first page ended there. My drawing of a dog was pasted below. You're insulting it but you still kept it.
