The truth is, I never expected her to stay.
Not really.After something terrible happens, almost everyone flee's except your parents.
People don't stay. Not in my world. Not around me.
I learned that lesson the hard way, and I made peace with it. Built walls around myself so high, so cold, that even I forgot what warmth felt like.

Thinking about how she came into my life was so surreal.She came into my life as collateral.A pawn in a deal. A way to protect my company. An obligation dressed in silk and fire.
