Justin's POV
Two weeks since I'd been discharged from the hospital. Two weeks since my world had shifted in a way I hadn't thought possible. Two weeks of waking up next to her. Two weeks of watching her move around my home as if she'd always belonged there. Two weeks of realizing that love wasn't something I had to run from anymore because somehow, without me even noticing, Elena had become my safe place.
This morning was different though. It wasn't just another ordinary day. It was the first Monday I was going back to the office as the CEO after my recovery, and strangely, I wasn't dreading it. In the past, returning to the corporate grind after any kind of break meant steel walls going up around me walls made of emails, meetings, numbers, and the cold satisfaction of control. But now… there was a warmth in my chest that refused to go away, a weightless sort of anticipation I hadn't felt in years.
And the reason was sleeping right beside me.
