Elena's POV
Walking into the building with Justin by my side was… surreal.
Not because I hadn't been in this building before, God knows I had. I'd walked these halls when they felt like an extension of his power, his world, his rules. Back then, I felt like an outsider, like a guest who could be ushered out at any time if I didn't behave exactly as expected.
But today?
Today I walked in next to him ,not behind him, not as a silent shadow, but beside him and that meant a lot to me.
And even though I could feel the side glances, the curious stares, and hear the hushed, almost scandalized side comments from employees who probably hadn't seen their CEO arrive with anyone before, I didn't care. Not one bit.
My heart was too full to care.
