Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: Suppressing the Negative Skill

---

"Wait a moment."

Ronen seemed to recall something and took out pen and paper, quickly sketching some symbols.

"Magic Circle?"

Alfia looked on in confusion. "What are you doing?"

"Your skill's effect is too strong. I'm afraid my magic alone won't be enough," Ronen replied casually. "I'm designing a custom made magic circle and ritual to assist the process. This way, I might be able to prolong the suppression effect."

Designing a magic circle was like writing an essay—you start with an outline, then fill it out with important details

Even though his mind was sharp, drafting it out with pen and paper helped clarify everything.

He identified four core nodes and thirty-four supporting points, combining them into 136 magical effects.

Even for Ronen, attempting it without chanting carried a significant risk of failure. The complexity even surpassed that of a Elemental Rasenshuriken.

"A ritual?"

Alfia watched the magical circle take form with growing curiosity.

Soon, three sheets of parchment were densely filled with a circles of complex design.

Then she watched as Ronen, after only a few minutes of thought, began to write another circle.

"So fast…"

She was stunned as magical circle flowed rapidly from his hand.

This version was far more complex than the last, yet he wrote it even faster. In just an hour, he filled over 300 pages while writing detail effect.

Once finished, he clipped them into a thick book and began flipping through.

Satisfied, he nodded. "No errors. Should be good to go."

He had written out the entire magical structure using magic circle and was now assembling it into a massive magic formation for magic.

Taking out some mithril, he used Magic to suspend it mid-air and ignited a flame.

Tossing in a packet of accelerant, the flame engulfed the mithril, which quickly melted into liquid.

Controlling it with Mage Hand, he carefully inscribed the ritual circle onto the floor.

Soon, the formation was complete.

"Stand in the center of the circle. Don't touch the edges of the circle."

"I understand."

With a light leap, Alfia landed precisely in the middle of the formation. She was curious to see if it would actually work.

A rustling sound followed as Ronen poured out the day's collected magic stones and crushed them with a thought.

As the circle lit up, it began glowing.

Though the lines were made from silver mithril, the glow emitted was a radiant red.

An invisible force settled over Alfia, binding her slightly.

Oddly enough, the sensation felt relieving—like a weight had been lifted off her.

She looked toward Ronen. His eyes were closed as he focused on channeling the magic.

Simultaneously, he chanted calmly, converting the energy from the magic stones and guiding it into Alfia's body.

A warmth spread from her chest and coursed through her limbs.

It didn't hurt—in fact, it was soothing, like soaking in a hot spring.

Soon, the four core nodes were activated, connecting the thirty-four points with thread-like lines, forming a black lotus symbol.

"He's still chanting…"

A full minute passed, and Alfia's expression shifted.

This was turning into a long-form chant—high-tier magic.

The length of this spell chant matched that of her third magic.

Her third magic was a wide-area destruction spell, capable of annihilating an entire dungeon floor and had once delivered the killing blow to the sea tyrant Leviathan.

For a suppression spell to reach that level… it was mind-blowing.

"Engraving—Imprint!"

As the final incantation fell, the spell fully manifested on Alfia's body.

"Perfect."

Ronen praised his own work, though he looked lightheaded afterward.

Even with mithril, magic stones, and a full ritual assisting him, it was still a strain.

After all, Alfia was Level 7—her skill was far too powerful to suppress easily.

"You've worked hard, Ronen."

Meteria brought over a chair and helped him sit down.

Watching their intimacy, Alfia felt a subtle pang of loss—like she had become an outsider.

"How do you feel?"

Ronen looked at her.

"…Very good."

Alfia closed her eyes and assessed herself. "My body feels much lighter. The skill's effect has been suppressed by 45%—far more than I expected."

Her astonishment turned to awe

Is really the level of innate magic's full power?

You must know she a level 7 adventurer. It's simple shocking to her stereotype that a person without a falna can help her .

Now that she could fully comprehend what Ronen had done.

Earlier, she hadn't even known what he was doing, she thought he was only helping her cure the symptoms but now that she understood what he have done, it shocked her.

Maybe I should memorize the circle just in case. Alfia thought.

If Ronen knew how quickly Alfia had grasped everything he had written, he'd be equally amazed by her talent.

Photographic memory and instant comprehension—no wonder people feared her.

"Forty-five percent… The ritual really amplified the effect that much."

Ronen pondered aloud.

Using magic stones had greatly contributed. Compared to his own magic power, the amount from the stones was thirty times greater.

With such an infusion, the result made sense.

"Oh right, one more thing."

Drinking a mana potion, Ronen looked at Alfia. "Your second magic nullifies spells. Don't use it unless absolutely necessary."

"I'm not that dumb."

Alfia rolled her eyes.

All three of her magics were sound-based.

The first created shockwaves via sound.

The second was an enchantment-type that nullified other magic, even weakening her own magic.

The third was her ultimate spell, on par with the Shinra Tensei from Naruto.

Though there was a difference in magic quality, it wasn't large.

"Just being cautious."

Ronen shrugged. "I am a healer after all. Gotta go over the disclaimers."

"Annoying noise."

Alfia sighed but still accepted his warning.

Seeing that the two were now talking normally, and that Alfia was no longer being so cold toward Ronen.

Meteria let out a sigh of relief, a smile quietly formed on her lips.
