Miyadera carried the unconscious Shinno, hurrying out of the laboratory and jogging toward Shinno's secret base.
His next step was to merge Zero-Tails into a single entity and then use it to devour the demon Moryo.
Long after Miyadera had left, a figure slowly emerged from the shadows of the lab.
It was one of Arima's shadow clones, who had already infiltrated the floating fortress of the Sky Ninja using the Flying Thunder God Formula.
Using the Mangekyo Sharingan technique Kamiyo, the clone had severed the space around him from the rest of the environment, completely concealing his presence.
That was how he managed to slip into the lab under Miyadera and Shinno's noses and observe their entire confrontation.
Through this event, Arima saw clearly just how cunning and deceitful Miyadera could be.
No wonder Shinno was ambushed so easily, Arima himself had nearly been fooled by Miyadera's fabricated persona.
However, as a direct heir of the Uzumaki clan, Arima clearly remembered.
Mito had never mentioned anything like a "Personality Sealing Technique"!
What had truly restored Miyadera's mind was likely the Sand Hidden Village's Memory-Concealing Manipulative Sand Technique.
Arima now suspected that Miyadera had been acting from the very beginning, from the moment he encountered Shinno.
He had crafted the image of an arrogant, rude, lecherous, incompetent fool, intentionally playing the part!
One had to admit, Miyadera was a meticulous schemer. Step by step, he had maneuvered Shinno into years of unpaid labor, only to end up as a captive in the end.
Following Miyadera's trail, Arima made his way down to Shinno's secret base.
There, using his chakra sensory technique, Arima detected a large number of ninja being imprisoned in a single holding area.
Complex chakra circuits extended from the prison deep into the foundations of the floating city.
Arima poured his chakra into the lines, and it was immediately devoured.
He noticed that the entire city was laced with these chakra conduits, and deep within the core lay a massive chakra reservoir.
It became clear: every part of the flying fortress was sustained by the stored chakra of Zero-Tails. If that chakra were removed, the city would collapse.
This rendered Arima's initial plan, to capture Miyadera directly, unfeasible. He had to evacuate the imprisoned people first before he could deal with Zero-Tails freely.
Silently, Arima withdrew from the area. As for Miyadera's plan to merge the two halves of Zero-Tails, Arima paid it little mind.
No matter how powerful the Zero-Tails might be, it was still vastly inferior to the Nine-Tails.
His grandfather Hashirama had subdued the Nine-Tails with ease, surely he, Arima, could do the same.
At the very least, he wouldn't bring shame to the title of the Third Hokage's descendant.
Once the clone dispersed, the original Arima immediately received the intel.
Reading through the information, he felt the situation was a bit more complicated than expected. He rested his chin in one hand, contemplating a viable evacuation strategy.
Just then, Yuna walked into the tent to say goodnight.
It was a habit she'd developed back home, she couldn't sleep unless she saw her father first.
That sense of dependence warmed Arima's heart with familial affection.
Wearing her pajamas, Yuna tiptoed into the tent, only to find her father frowning deeply in thought. She crept up behind him and leapt onto his back, hoping to give him a scare.
This little trick, Tsunade had tried it more times than Arima could count. With a simple sidestep, he let her miss, and Yuna ended up sprawled across his leg.
Arima caught her with one arm and raised a finger to flick her forehead.
Seeing this, Yuna instinctively shut her eyes tight in anticipation.
But instead of the expected flick, she felt a gentle kiss on her forehead. She opened her big, watery eyes to see her father's face full of tenderness, and felt her heart bloom with happiness.
She wrapped her arms around his waist and asked softly, "Father… when is Mother coming?"
Arima chuckled. "Didn't you always say she's so strict at home that you can barely breathe?"
Yuna flushed, flustered. "Ah, don't say that in front of Mother!
She may be a little harsh, but it's all for my own good! It's been a while since I left home, and I really miss her… But when she gets here, I'd like to spar with the younger version of her!"
Arima tapped her forehead and muttered, "You little brat. Always looking for trouble! When you return to your own time, I'll be the one cleaning up your mess."
Yuna giggled and nuzzled into his arms. In the end, Arima could only sigh in resignation. "Just don't overdo it, alright? Still… I am a bit curious to see Tsunade's reaction."
Yuna's eyes sparkled. She beamed and said, "Right?! Right?! You want to see her get all flustered and mad too, don't you?
Mother always said I take after you! You say I stir up trouble, but you're the real culprit, I learned everything from you!"
What could Arima say to that? A child's behavior reflects the ones closest to them. All he could do was take responsibility for what his future self had clearly passed down.
Yuna stood up and gently began massaging Arima's temples. "Father," she asked curiously, "what were you thinking about just now? You looked really troubled."
Arima patted her hand and motioned for her to sit in front of him. Then he asked seriously, "How do you think we can evacuate the civilians from the sky fortress to the ground safely?"
He hoped his daughter from the future might offer a good idea.
Yuna blinked. "Isn't Father able to use Super Beast Imitating Drawing?"
Arima froze for a moment, then realized, this must be a technique his future self had developed. He shook his head and said, "I haven't created that technique yet."
Upon hearing this, Yuna's eyes lit up. She leapt off her chair and ran out, calling, "I'm going to get brother!"
Soon, she returned with Arata, who had a far steadier personality than his energetic sister.
In the past few days, father and son had shared some meaningful conversations. But unlike his sister, Arata was quiet and reserved, more like Tobirama.
As they entered the tent, Yuna announced triumphantly, "Arata-nii, today the two of us will be teachers, we're going to teach Father a jutsu!"
Arata had been in the middle of ninjutsu training when Yuna dragged him over. Still confused, he stepped into the tent, only to be stunned by what his sister said.
He looked curiously at his father. After all, everything he knew came from Arima, how could he possibly be the one to teach?
Yuna clung to Arima's arm and said, "Father wants to learn Super Beast Imitating Drawing!
He hasn't created it yet! He plans to use it to transport the imprisoned civilians, so you have to teach him properly!"
Arata raised a brow. "Didn't you say before that you hated that technique? Something like, 'Drawing is such a pain, it's easier to punch stuff,' and 'Clap my hands and I've got nothing'?"
Yuna's eyes flared wide. "Arata-nii! Don't throw me under the cart! Next time you want help asking Father for a new jutsu, I won't help you!"
Arima listened to them and chuckled, he was learning all kinds of amusing things from their banter.
He couldn't help but imagine the warmth of a future where they could all live together peacefully.
Yuna noticed his dazed expression and shook his arm. "Father, Mother says you learn jutsu really fast and you're great at adapting! Will you let me see it for myself today?"
Arima smiled faintly, thinking, 'Silly girl… Back then I used the system to learn jutsu quickly because I needed power fast.
But now that I've laid a solid foundation, mastering a B-rank technique like this, without using the system, is still a walk in the park.'
