Chapter 72 - Chapter 72: Yuna vs. Ink Creation

Arata unrolled a blank scroll, channeling chakra into a special brush. With a bold sweep of ink, the shape of a great rock in flight leapt onto the paper, vivid and lifelike.

He then formed a seal to condense his chakra, manipulating the ink with precision. In an instant, the painted bird turned corporeal, its wings flaring as it tried to take flight from the tent.

With a flick of chakra through the ink, Arata redirected it, it circled back and landed on his shoulder.

Senju Arima needed only one glance to grasp the essence of the technique.

The key was to model the creature's anatomy realistically on the scroll, and then accelerate the animation using chakra-infused ink.

So the difficulty lay in two aspects: the drawing and the guidance.

Arima might not have any background in art, but his rich experiences and his masterful chakra control more than made up for it.

He took the brush, paused in thought for a moment, then dipped it into thick ink and scattered a spray of droplets into the air.

Guided by his imagination, he moved the droplets as he willed, sketching the image of a person on the scroll.

Yuna looked down and immediately recognized the figure. 'Of course it's Mother,' she thought.

Following Arata's earlier demonstration, Arima attempted to animate the figure.

At first, it was clumsy, but soon he found the trick, he began to channel chakra to all parts of the drawing, controlling its movement in accordance with human motion.

Suddenly, the ink-drawn Tsunade sprang to life from the scroll and lunged fiercely at Yuna!

Startled by how much the image resembled her mother, Yuna panicked and dove behind her father. She quickly realized it was just a drawing, nothing to be afraid of.

"I'm going to change into my training gear!" she shouted, then ran back to her tent.

Arima decided to test Yuna's skills, guiding the ink figure to stand outside the tent in anticipation of her return.

The commotion had drawn the attention of nearby shinobi, who emerged from their tents to investigate. After Senju Arata explained the situation, they relaxed and became curious.

They had been resting for days; a good sparring match would be a welcome change of pace.

Yuna returned in full gear, striding confidently in front of the ink figure.

She teased, "Today, I will take down ten of my dear mother!"

Arima smirked. If Tsunade were here to witness this cocky little brat, she'd probably explode with rage. 'What an entertaining pair of mother and daughter,' he mused.

He intended to teach the girl a small lesson, not to underestimate her opponents.

With a flick, he had the ink figure blink forward, arriving within a step of Yuna.

Yuna's eyes widened. The ink figure's speed was on par with a Chunin, maybe even a Jonin. She immediately cast aside her playful attitude and assumed a defensive stance.

The ink figure launched a punch at her head, exploiting its height advantage.

But Yuna, having endured her father's relentless training, dodged the fierce blows with ease. Her breathing remained steady and composed.

Although she avoided every strike, the barrage left her no time to form hand seals. If this kept up, she'd be stuck exchanging taijutsu indefinitely.

That was precisely Arima's plan. The ink clone was limited to physical combat; he had no intention of incorporating sealing jutsu.

The attacks rained down like a storm, but Yuna's defense held firm.

Still, her earlier boast about taking down ten Tsunades was quickly turning into a joke.

Yuna might seem carefree and sunny most days, but deep down, she was proud. She'd always looked up to her parents and never once thought herself inferior.

Arima noticed the shift in her eyes, she was plotting a counterattack.

'That's right, girl. Every jutsu has its limits. If you can exceed them, you win. Just find the flaw, overcome it, and claim victory.'

While fending off the ink clone's assault, Yuna quietly formulated a plan. She couldn't use ninjutsu now, but her opponent also couldn't break through. The battle was at a stalemate.

A small smile crept onto her lips. She began funneling most of her chakra into her legs, biding her time for the perfect strike.

Arima sensed her intent but made no move to adjust the ink clone's chakra. He merely wanted to probe her limits.

The ink clone swept a kick toward Yuna's abdomen.

She blocked with both arms, used the force to propel herself into the air, then gathered chakra into her right leg and brought it down with immense force.

This was the Heavenly Foot of Pain, a move passed down from Tsunade herself. The sheer power rivaled a B-rank technique. Arima nodded in approval, his daughter clearly hadn't been slacking off under her mother's training.

With this devastating kick, she disrupted the ink clone's rhythm, seizing the upper hand.

Unlike Tsunade, Yuna's fighting style wasn't just brute strength and medical ninjutsu. She was also highly skilled in traditional ninjutsu, rivaling her brother in talent.

Her hands blurred as she weaved signs, executing Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bullet.

A dragon-shaped mud head rose and spewed a stream of thick earth straight at the ink clone.

Arima's interest piqued. He increased the ink clone's chakra to Jonin level. Its movements instantly sharpened, and drawing from Arima's battle experience, it narrowly avoided the attack.

Unfazed, Yuna shifted again, forming seals and spitting a blast of fire.

The fire combined with the mud stream, producing scorching lava. One spark would be enough to destroy the ink creature.

But to her surprise, the ink clone smashed the ground with a fist, scattering chunks of rock to block her molten strike.

She couldn't help but mutter, 'What pseudo-beast ink creation? This is just one of Father's shadow clones!'

Still, Yuna's fighting spirit blazed. She had been itching for a worthy opponent for days.

She formed the Tiger seal, two shadow clones appeared beside her.

Together, they launched a synchronized three-element combo: Earth Dragon Bullet, Fire Dragon Flame Bullet, and Wind Release: Pressure Damage, a devastating combination jutsu.

Arima instantly recognized the formation. It was the same technique he had once used with his great-uncle. Seeing Yuna wield it with such proficiency brought a warm sense of pride.

The ink clone, limited to taijutsu and lacking jutsu capability, stood no chance. The fiery magma engulfed and obliterated it completely.

Yuna cheered with joy, she had defeated her mother! Well, sort of. The ink clone was nearly as strong as a Special Jonin.

Arima walked over, ruffled her hair, and smiled. "I'm proud of you."

Yuna beamed. Getting her father's recognition filled her with pure happiness.

The other shinobi had gathered too. They'd witnessed an incredible duel and now looked at the usually carefree girl with newfound respect. When Yuna got serious, her strength was no joke.

With everyone assembled, Arima took the opportunity to brief them on the next phase of their mission.

His plan: one team would go to the airborne fortress to rescue hostages, while the other stayed behind to protect Queen Seramu of Roran.

Yuna immediately clamored to go with her father, she wanted to experience a mission alongside him.

Arata, on the other hand, volunteered to stay and guard the queen. His reasoning was simple: as long as Father was around, even an S-rank mission would feel like a D-rank.

And so, Arima set out with Minato's four-man squad, Iwa, and Yuna to the airborne fortress for the rescue. The rest remained in Roran to defend the queen.
