" And where do you think you are going" The two men remained still for a second when they heard her words, then turned to flee once more .But she moved faster.

A dagger whistled through the air burying itself into one man's shoulder. He crumpled with a scream. The other spun with gun shaking in his hand. "Don't come any closer! I'll shoot!" He said in a shaky voice

But she didn't even blink at his threat. He fired but she was able to swiftly dodged the bullet. He fired another, but before the bullet could get to her she was gone, like smoke in the wind.

Stunned, the armed man became alert holding his weapon firm. Although prepared he couldn't evade her attack, she reappeared behind him with one clean stroke, her blade pierced his spine making him choke on blood and dropped, collapsing to the floor.

The last man crawled, gasping but she only watch him with disdain. She watched him like a predator eying his prey.

She stepped over him, cold and unmerciful.

"Why?" she asked. But he refused to answer, and without warning she stabbed her sword into his shoulder. He cried out in pain, the pain made his body shoke uncontrollably.

"Why!" She asked once again but sharper this time. Unable to bare the pain he gave in.

" It's the Dark Council," he gasped, struggling to speak. "We were tasked to bring you... her... and Lady Laurel... dead or alive," he said stammering as he spoke, he pointed weakly toward the corpse of her twin then continued.

"We thought it'd be easier to take you all in alive, but... it went wrong when you started killing..."

He waited calmly to her response after he finished what he asked to say. He began to silent prayed for her to show him mercy. Although he knew mercy was far from what he was going to get but still held onto that strand of hope he had but she had no mercy for him.

" Send my regards to Hades " she smirk and the man's eye widened his eyes in shock but what scared him was when he saw her raise her sword, he could actually say he felt the amount to force she used when he felt the rush of wind pass his face. But before he could think his head was off his neck.

She stood over the carnage, her face blank and she emotionless looking down at her handiwork. Her eyes fixed on the bodies beneath. The silence was heavy, but was broken only by the soft hum of her cellphone as she pulled it out and dialed.

It rang once. The voice on the other end was rushed, tight with panic. "Anna! Where are you? Are you hurt?" She didn't answer right away. Her voice when it came, was too calm.

"Main hall."

Almost instantly, the doors burst open. Damien rushed in but froze at the sight of what he saw in the hall. The blood, the bodies, but it was the sight of Annalisa's twin lying still on the ground that shattered him. His breath caught in his throat.

Although he did know her that well he knew how important, she was to Annalisa. Without thinking, he ran to her pulling her into his arms, and cradled her head against his chest.

"It's okay," he whispered. "Let it out, Anna. Just let it all out." And she did, all the sadness bottled up in her chest came out uncontrollably, she teared up in his arms, when she raised her eyes to see the corpse of he twin and she could stop.

The tears hit before she could stop them, pouring from her like a storm breaking free. Her sobs made her whole body shook " Damien why did they do this, what did she do to deserve this... Why me " she sobbed.

Damien didn't answer. There were no words for grief like that. All he could do was hold her while she shattered. He allowed her because he knew she need it.

Minutes passed before she could pull away, wiping her face with the back of her hand.

"Sorry," she murmured. She moved to the steps and sat down slowly. Damien followed, watching her carefully.

"Now what?" he asked, his voice softer this time. For a while, she said nothing. Her eyes were fixed ahead, distant and unreadable.

Then she turned her head meeting his gaze, and smiled but it was not kindly.

"Now?" she said, her voice edged with steel.

"Now… I return the favor."

Then she stood as she continued to speak."They wanted war. They'll get it."

Damien didn't interrupt her. He let her speak, letting her burn. But deep inside he knew, he wasn't going to let her do this alone. Still, he said nothing. The silence stretched between them like a held breath.

"Anna… but for now, let's leave,"he finally said, standing beside her. He noticed her gaze fixed on something in the distance. Her gaze was sharp, unwavering but he couldn't tell what had caught her attention.

"I'm not leaving," she replied coolly, her eyes never leaving the spot.

"Anna...listen. They'll come back to confirm the mission. Backup is probably already on the way." His voice was urgent, pleading. But she didn't flinch.

"I know." She finally looked at him and smirked. Then she leaned in and pressed a kiss to his forehead, gentle but final.

She turned away from him and walked steadily toward the main gate, her fingers twitching with anticipation.

"They're already here," she said, raising her hands into the air.

Damien's heart dropped. It was as if he knew what she was going to do next and he refuse to accept it.

"What the hell are you doing?" he barked furiously.

She didn't answer right away. Just gave him a wink over her shoulder.

"Why should I hide…" her voice was calm, dangerous,

"…when the game's already begun?"
