Chapter 258 - Chapter 258: Hoshimi Miyabi

The enviable treatment at St. Freya Academy all stemmed from Lu Jingming's proposal.

In his previous life, while in school, Lu Jingming had suffered enough from eight people being crammed into a tiny dorm room, sweltering summer days without the cool relief of air conditioning, forcing them to endure stuffiness and sweat.

Having to queue for the toilet and finding the cafeteria food barely edible left a deep impression on him.

That experience made him keenly aware of the importance of an excellent learning and living environment for students.

Therefore, for his St. Freya Academy, he decided to elevate all amenities to the extreme.

After all, with his current financial resources, these investments were not difficult for him.

Lu Jingming understood that by treating the students well, allowing them to spend fulfilling and comfortable time at the academy, the graduates would remember the academy's kindness, making them more likely to choose to work for him in the future.

And Lu Jingming was always generous and open-handed with those willing to risk their lives for him.

Only by treating others sincerely can one earn their loyalty and allegiance.

In nurturing his students, Lu Jingming spared no expense, comprehensively elevating the conditions for learning, cultivation, combat, daily life, and the environment to the highest degree.

This series of measures became one of the key factors in St. Freya Academy's rapid rise to become a continent-leading academy in less than ten years.

Of course, winning the All-Continent Advanced Academy Soul Duels Tournament for two consecutive sessions was further powerful proof of St. Freya Academy's strength, making it a critical reason for its high profile.

After all, in this world where Martial Soul power reigns supreme, what Soul Masters value most is always the undeniable strength displayed by an academy.

And St. Freya Academy, backed by the mighty Haiyuan City and possessing remarkable strength, naturally became the dream holy land for countless aspiring Soul Master students.

Currently, on the academy's spacious and massive practical training ground, a fierce battle was unfolding.

At least several hundred students were gathered around, all staring intently at the center of the training area, completely captivated by the fight.

One could see frost-white sword energy crisscrossing, leaving behind ice marks on the ground like blooming ice flowers.

A petite girl with black hair and fox ears held a tachi (long saber/katana), her movements light and agile, transforming into blurs of afterimages.

The tachi in her hand slashed brilliant light trails through the air, executing various exquisite swordsmanship techniques with natural fluidity, like flowing water.

Wind Flower, Frost Moon, Deep Snow, Flying Snow—these sword skills were unleashed without reservation. Every move and form contained immense power and masterful technique.

Her opponent required her full effort; there was no room for slackening.

Ji Juechen, watching from the sidelines, had his eyes wide and fixed on the girl in the training area, his gaze filled with astonishment.

The girl's sublime swordsmanship profoundly shocked him, earning his high praise.

Although the weapon she used was different from his own, he could clearly sense that it was indeed a form of swordsmanship, a unique type he had never seen before, completely different from the style taught to him by Jingliu.

Nevertheless, there was no doubt that the girl's mastery of the sword was clearly superior to his own. Perhaps not yet on par with Jingliu, but absolutely at the ceiling level for the entire Douluo Continent.

Fighting the black-haired, fox-eared girl was an equally formidable tall, blonde girl.

She wielded a white cavalry spear, its tip gleaming coldly. Facing the black-haired girl's fierce, frost-white sword energy, she showed no fear, shattering every strike.

The long spear seemed weightless in her hands; every swing stirred a biting air current, sweeping the surroundings like a whirlwind.

Both girls were not only powerful but also incredibly beautiful, each possessing a unique charm.

The black-haired, fox-eared girl exuded a cold, mysterious aura, while the tall, blonde girl displayed a heroic, valiant spirit. Their spectacular battle attracted the attention of most students, causing others to arrive gradually, drawn by the commotion.

At this moment, Lu Jingming was also drawn by the bustling scene and slowly approached the edge of the training ground.

When he saw the two girls locked in fierce combat, an unsurprised expression crossed his face.

These two "Overachievers" were not strangers to such high-intensity sparring.

"Meng!" Lu Jingming walked directly toward Meng Hongchen, who was also present, while casually glancing at the Command Seals on her hand.

"A-Ming, you're here too!" Meng Hongchen turned around in pleasant surprise, looking at Lu Jingming with joy in her eyes.

She didn't hesitate to take his arm, an intimate gesture that drew envious looks from many students nearby.

However, no one dared to step forward and interrupt.

Meng Hongchen's beauty was top-tier in the academy, naturally drawing the attention of many students.

But older students in the academy knew clearly that Meng Hongchen was already taken; she was the academy's top genius and the girlfriend of Lu Jingming, the Lord of Haiyuan City.

New students might be bold, but they would first have to get past Xiao Hongchen, let alone Lu Jingming's loyal followers.

One must remember that St. Freya Academy housed the reserves for the Jinwei (Golden Guards) and the Fatui (Fools' Contingency).

These individuals had passed rigorous loyalty tests and undergone Fusion Surgery, and their loyalty to Lu Jingming was unwavering.

In their eyes, Meng Hongchen was Lu Jingming's exclusive property, and no one else had the right to approach—female students being the exception.

Besides Meng Hongchen, Wang Qiu'er, Ye Guyi, and also Lan Susu and Lan Luoluo essentially enjoyed similar treatment.

Simply because they were very close to Lu Jingming, those Jinwei and Fatui reserves didn't care about their actual relationship with him; they only knew their connection was deep, and thus would subconsciously protect them.

"How are things with Miss Miyabi?" Lu Jingming affectionately pinched Meng Hongchen's cheek, his face showing a gentle smile as he asked softly.

"Miyabi is great, but she just loves these strange training methods too much. Like now, sparring with Durandal at full power!"

Meng Hongchen pouted slightly, sounding a bit glum.

The Servant she summoned after becoming a Master, Hoshimi Miyabi, was incredibly powerful and had a very agreeable personality, sharing excellent compatibility with her.

However, Hoshimi Miyabi was particularly enthusiastic about various strange training methods, which sometimes left Meng Hongchen struggling to cope.

"Hehe!" Lu Jingming chuckled. Hoshimi Miyabi indeed enjoyed various unusual training, a habit greatly related to her childhood experiences.

An Important Announcement: Time to Write Our Own Novel!

Hello everyone!

Thank you all so much for your support; it truly helps me keep going!

I have some exciting news: after translating many fanfics, I've decided it's time to start writing my own Novels! I plan to begin with a new fanfic—I'm currently thinking of either the Avatar: The Last Airbender or Douluo Dalu universe, featuring a Neutral protagonist. That is exactly what I meant by Neutral Protagonist (This refers to the character's Alignment. A Neutral Protagonist is not strictly bound by concepts of absolute good or evil, nor are they necessarily tied to Law or Chaos. Their actions are generally motivated by their own survival, personal goals, or a desire for balance, operating in a morally gray area.)

Once I've written a few fanfics and gained more experience, I can then move on to developing my own original novel soon after.

If you want a direct hand in shaping the main character's destiny and giving input, be sure to join the poll!

I've launched a poll on my P@t reon page!

HOW YOU CAN PARTICIPATE:

1. Head over to our P@t reon page and become a member. (Don't worry, even those with a free membership can join the poll and share their input!)

2. Select any option you desire in the poll

3. Leave a comment on the poll post or send me a DM if you have any specific thoughts or ideas!
