"Fire? So when Bram turns against you, he becomes fire? What about when you were working with him and shoving him down your son's throat!?" I reply in irritation, and she falls silent as shame paints her face.
It's been a battle keeping her in here. She has insisted on stepping out to let everyone know she's not sick or dying. She wants to go head-on and confront Bram. She wants me to lock him up, but I cannot do that.
Finally, I can see Rhydian walking the right path. He has this under control, and I have to believe that. He's no longer making foolish moves. I want my son to be King, and I don't want a foolish king who doesn't understand the complexities of the human mind.
I know what always protecting a child does to a child. I'm not going to do that again. No… never again.
