Chapter 8 - Chapter 8

Finally, after what felt like an endless search for parking, he smiled as he realized he had arrived. "I'm in front of your house," he said, his voice filled with excitement. 😁

Somika's breath caught in her throat. He's here. The reality of it hit her all at once, and a rush of warmth and anticipation flooded through her. The moment they'd both been waiting for was finally here. 🥰✨

She ran barefoot from her room, her ❤️‍🔥 red dress flowing around her as she stole one last glance in the mirror. With a racing heart 💓, she opened the door—there he stood, waiting. Dressed in a sharp blue suit 🕴️, a bouquet of 🌹 red roses in hand, he looked like a dream. But it was his warm brown eyes 👀 that truly took her breath away. Oh, what a mesmerizing creature he was.

Dhurba: 😊 "Hello."

Somika: 🫣 "Hello."

She couldn't meet his gaze any longer. As he gently handed her the red roses 🌹, her heart fluttered. Clutching them close, she turned and hurried to her room to keep them safe. Before disappearing, she glanced back with a shy smile 😊 and asked him to wait for her in the kitchen hall, just near the main door.

The weather wasn't perfect that day—it had been raining 🌧️ nonstop. Somika, who worked at a sushi restaurant 🍣, knew how much her favorite man loved sushi. So, when she went out earlier to buy some makeup 💄, she picked up a box just for him.

When she handed him the food, she never expected what happened next. Instead of taking the first bite himself, he held a piece up to her lips 🍣, offering it to her first.

"For you first," he said gently.

Somika froze, her heart skipping a beat 💓. In her 27 years, no one had ever offered her the first bite. It was a simple gesture, yet it felt like everything.

He sat close, his tall, dark, and handsome presence inches away, his warm brown eyes locking onto hers. Beneath the table, their legs touched 🦵🦵, sending a soft shiver down her spine 🌧️. The quiet intimacy between them—it was all perfect. And for the first time, Somika felt like she was living in a dream ✨.

"Perhaps, just maybe, she was." 💭

As they finished their lunch, they stepped outside toward his car. It had been raining all day, so Somika had brought an umbrella to keep them dry. She thought they would be safe from the rain. ☔️

But nature had other plans. 🌧️

The moment they stepped out, a strong wind blew, followed by heavy rain and even a sudden hailstorm something rare in this country. Within seconds, they were completely soaked.

Dhurba didn't hesitate. He quickly took the umbrella, held her hand, and pulled her close to his chest, protecting her from the cold. His warmth surrounded her, making her forget about the rain. 🌬️❤️

"You're okay," he said softly, his voice calm and reassuring.

At that moment, with their hearts racing and raindrops falling around them, Somika felt something special. This was not just another rainy day—it was a moment she would remember forever. 🌧️✨

P.S. And yes, she remembers till this day. 📝
