Noah's mind snapped back into focus. Every bit of strength in his body surged forward, and he shoved James away with a force he didn't know he had. James stumbled back a step, lips parting in surprise.
"Are you crazy? What did you think you were doing?" Noah's voice was raised, trembling from both anger and shock.
James stared at him, breathing hard. "Yes, I'm crazy. I'm crazily in love with you. And it hurts—" his voice broke for a second before sharpening again, "—it hurts watching you flirt with someone else. So if you think I'm crazy, fine. Yes, I am."
Noah's glare could have cut glass. "What are you even saying? We've been friends for five years, James. Now you're suddenly telling me you love me? Just listen to yourself—don't you hear how insane that sounds?"
