The laughter from their tickle fight eventually faded, leaving the room filled with the faint sound of their breathing. Axel sat back, still catching his breath, and gave Marlon a pointed look.
"All right," Axel said, his tone shifting. "Enough games. Come on, let's go find K—that betrayal."
Marlon straightened in his seat, reading the seriousness in his brother's expression. Without a word, he got up and followed as Axel led the way down the hall. They entered a room with a massive electronic lock door tucked away at the corner of the apartment. The faint hum of machines and the faint scent of electronics greeted them.
Marlon's eyes roamed the space. "Big brother," he said after a moment, "this room is even smaller than your computer room back at home."
Axel glanced over his shoulder but didn't reply.
