UK:GSW Chapter 381 – Uchiha Kei: Pretending to Be an Ōtsutsuki Is So Much Fun
The sealing techniques were specially developed by Namikaze Minato and Uzumaki Kushina after hearing Uchiha Kei explain the existence of the unique Yin–Yang Release entity known as Black Zetsu.
After all, with an enemy like Black Zetsu lurking around, no one could sleep peacefully at night—they had to find a way to counter him.
With the Spiritual Network World as their ultimate tool, many dangerous ninjutsu experiments could be freely tested. The sealing scrolls now being used by the "Ultimate White Zetsu Trio" were one such successful product.
This time, they were being used in a field test—to see how effective they would be against Black Zetsu. If the results were good, they could prepare to deal with the Black Zetsu in the Main World; if the results were average, they would simply report back to Minato and Kushina so they could further refine and optimize the technique.
As mentioned before, this whole operation was just an experiment—an attempt to capture this unique lifeform known as Black Zetsu.
If it worked, great. If not, no big deal—they would at least collect valuable combat data to aid future capture or elimination attempts.
Faced with the encirclement of the Ultimate White Zetsu Trio, Black Zetsu did not hesitate to use the Mayfly Technique to flee. He had no desire to tangle with these weirdos—especially after instinctively concluding they were tools of other Ōtsutsuki.
Right now, Black Zetsu was in total panic, his mind buzzing, instinctively thinking of finding Uchiha Obito.
After all, from his perspective, the only person he could rely on now was Obito—at least Obito's Mangekyō Sharingan with Kamui was perfect for hiding. Against an Ōtsutsuki enemy, immediate evasion was the correct choice.
However… he soon froze in horror. He could no longer sense Blackened Obito's existence.
He had left a portion of himself inside Obito, allowing him to always track Obito's location—and, if necessary, seize control.
Just like in the "original" Fourth Shinobi World War, when Blackened Obito, seeking redemption, attempted to use the Rinne Tensei to revive the war's fallen, Black Zetsu activated this contingency to redirect the technique and resurrect Uchiha Madara instead.
As a direct creation of Ōtsutsuki Kaguya—born of Yin–Yang Release—and, according to Boruto-era lore, even a "divine technique" creation, Black Zetsu could sense Obito's presence even in the Kamui dimension.
But now… nothing. Obito's presence had vanished completely, as if erased from the world.
"Why? Why has Obito completely disappeared? Could… could it be that he too was attacked by the Ōtsutsuki?"
This was the only possibility he could imagine.
Whether an Ōtsutsuki devoured him or sent him into their personal dimension, Black Zetsu would lose all sensory contact either way.
He knew this well—his mother Kaguya possessed the "Amenominaka" divine technique, a godlike ability to freely weave dimensions, superior to the Kamui. Kaguya had used it to create her own core dimension.
If even "a mere branch-house maid" like Kaguya could do this, then the higher-ranked Ōtsutsuki could certainly do the same. And against such an Ōtsutsuki, Obito, lacking prior intel, would have a 100% chance of being overwhelmed.
Realizing this, Black Zetsu felt an even deeper terror. The enemy had clearly come prepared—so prepared they left him no chance of survival.
As these desperate thoughts ran through his mind, the Ultimate White Zetsu Trio caught up. The sealing jutsu within their scrolls activated—golden energy infused with the space–time power of the Flying Thunder God and the bloodline power of the Uzumaki Clan—manifesting as an overwhelming sealing force even the First Hokage would find troublesome. It surged toward Black Zetsu.
His expression changed drastically. He tried to flee, but he was a moment too slow. The sealing patterns flared to life on both him and the White Zetsu he possessed.
The powerful sealing force left him almost no room to escape, throwing him into panic.
At the same time, however, he felt a flicker of doubt—because this sealing power, though formidable, didn't feel like the work of the Ōtsutsuki. The Ōtsutsuki dealt in divine techniques, far beyond the ninjutsu of this world. What he now faced was clearly born of the shinobi system.
But Uchiha Kei had already anticipated that Black Zetsu would notice this. He knew his methods didn't look "Ōtsutsuki-like" at all, so he had planned for this exact suspicion.
And that plan was…
"Hmph. So this is the so-called ninjutsu these monkeys of this world have cobbled together? Pathetic. Compared to my clan's divine techniques, it's nothing but the laughable playthings of children! If I didn't still need some time before arriving in this pitiful world myself, this nonsense would never…"
The voice dripping with anger, disdain, and contempt came from the mouth of the White Zetsu under Kei's control, carrying his will.
The Ultimate White Zetsu Trio, even knowing this was all an act, still showed genuine fear and shame—crying out that they were worthless, had failed Lord Kei, and deserved to end themselves in penance.
In truth, they weren't acting—they were naturally unhinged enough that such "mad devotion" came off perfectly.
Black Zetsu's doubts faded. He grew excited. This meant the terrifying Ōtsutsuki had not yet truly descended into the Shinobi World—only projected part of their power here to create these incomprehensible, deranged White Zetsu.
He didn't know how, but since it was the Ōtsutsuki, anything bizarre could be accepted.
And if it was merely the power of the shinobi world, Black Zetsu felt no fear—no matter how terrifying this sealing technique was, even with space–time properties.
It was not Yin–Yang Release.
It was not an Ōtsutsuki divine technique.
And so, without hesitation, Black Zetsu channeled Yin–Yang Release into the body he was possessing, triggering its internal restraints and causing the White Zetsu to self-destruct from the inside out.
The explosion shattered his body into countless fragments, the raw force breaking through the sealing power in pure physical terms—like Muzan Kibutsuji himself breaking free.
In that moment, Black Zetsu wasn't fighting alone—he was a horde.
The scattered White Zetsu fragments dove underground, vanishing before everyone's eyes.
The Ultimate White Zetsu Trio pursued, but Black Zetsu's escape mirrored Muzan's dimensional cross-world escape—his fragments fled in all directions, making pursuit nearly impossible.
In the end, they managed to capture and seal only a portion of him—the majority still escaped.
Without someone like Yoriichi to strike most of the fragments down, most inevitably got away.
The operation to capture Black Zetsu had ultimately failed.
The Ultimate White Zetsu Trio was devastated, ashamed they had failed Lord Kei's expectations, feeling they deserved execution.
Of course, they didn't actually kill themselves. Kei himself hadn't been absolutely certain of success, so while disappointed, the outcome was within acceptable limits.
On the bright side, they had captured White Zetsu "A Fei," which was still a gain. While A Fei refused to defect, he was a special specimen with great research value—Kei could hand him over to Orochimaru's group for study. And they had also captured a fragment of Black Zetsu.
That fragment, too, could be studied—possibly opening the door for Orochimaru's group to completely unravel the secrets of Yin–Yang Release and even begin research into divine techniques.
Minato and Kushina could also use the fragment to develop even more effective counters against Black Zetsu.
Before, they had no physical sample and could only work from limited intel—yet even then, their seals had some effect.
Now, with a real sample, Kei had no doubt they could create truly specialized sealing jutsu and other countermeasures.
All in all, this was far from a loss.
As for what Black Zetsu would do after escaping—that wasn't Kei's concern. Even if Nagato brought the Six Paths of Pain to attack 2nd World Konoha, they had nothing to fear. In its current state, Nagato would fall as fast as he arrived.
Especially since Kei had already "opened his box" and exposed all intel on him.
With full intel, even without anyone else acting, Jiraiya—Konoha's legendary "Intel God"—could handle Nagato.
If Minato himself stepped in, it would be a 3:7 match—three minutes, Minato could kill Nagato seven times.
Why? Because Minato's Flying Thunder God was absurdly overpowered.
And now Minato wasn't just stronger than when he became Hokage in the "original"—he had also gained the Nine-Tails Chakra Mode.
Whether he was stronger than "future" Edo Tensei Minato was debatable, but in raw power, he was undoubtedly at the Super Kage level—second only to peak Hashirama and Uchiha Madara.
As for comparing him to Kei… that was another matter entirely. Kei was now a pure "mechanics monster" with bizarre, unpredictable methods—an opponent no one wanted to provoke. Minato would rather fight Madara one-on-one than go up against Kei.
