Chapter 151 - “Reflections of Pain”

Ron moved instantly and kicked Connor square in the face.

Connor was sent flying, crashing through several buildings before skidding to a halt.

In the next heartbeat, Ron teleported behind him.

With a single, precise strike of the Blade of Vengeance, he drove the blade straight through Connor's chest.

But when Ron blinked —

Connor was gone.

A voice spoke calmly behind him.

"That was my afterimage."

Connor descended from above, both hands aimed at Ron with deadly force.

Ron raised the Blade of Vengeance and blocked the strike.

Connor opened his mouth, preparing to unleash flames.

Before the fire could erupt, Ron teleported again — this time behind Connor.

He slammed a powerful elbow into Connor's back and drove him straight into the ground, shattering the earth beneath them.

Purple flames flickered along Ron's blade.

He lunged forward, aiming directly for Connor's chest —

—but Connor vanished.

Another afterimage.

Ron smiled.

Connor noticed it — and for the first time, hesitation flashed in his eyes.

Still, he struck.

His bladed nails shot toward Ron's throat.

"Keep smiling… as you die," Connor said coldly.

Ron did not move away.

Instead, he thrust his hand forward.

Connor's nails pierced straight through Ron's palm.

But Ron didn't flinch.

He grabbed Connor's hand tightly.

In the same motion, he drove the Blade of Vengeance into Connor's chest.

Connor staggered, coughing.

Blood splashed onto Ron's face.

Ron looked at him calmly.

"Keep coughing… you're the one who's about to fall."

Connor's eyes widened.

"No… NOOO!" he roared.

Ron pulled the blade out.

Connor dropped to his knees.

Ron looked at the swirling purple flames around his sword.

"I still don't fully understand these purple flames…"

Suddenly, the flames flared violently — and began to pull Connor in, as if dragging him into another dimension.

Connor's body slowly disappeared within the spiraling energy.

Ron remained standing alone on the ruined battlefield.

Silence followed.

He let out a slow breath.

"I'm not a fan of fighting…" he muttered.

A faint smile appeared on his face.

"…but I won't lie. I loved that."

Carter and Lia had reached their destination. They stood in front of the building.

Suddenly, the door opened.

A man in black suit came out.

"Long time, no see, lad. You have grown up." The man said.

"Louis? I looked up to you. You were the epitome of doing justice. How could have you fallen in such disgrace." Carter replied.

Lia touched Carter's elbow.

"Who is this?" She asked.

"And who is this? Your girlfriend or wife?" Louis said.

"Wife." Lia yelled.

"It doesn't matter to you." Carter said.

"You are quiet the womanizer." Louis said.

"Shut up and come at me." Carter said.

"Hahaha. Do you think you can defeat me? You can stand against the GHOST" Louis said.

Both rushed at each other.

Carter punched him a few times and Louis took them

Then Carter moved his right fist with full force and hit him, but Carter himself took that punch.

"What happened?" Carter thought.

"Oh Lad, why are you punching yourself. I thought I was your opponent." Louis said.

He's trying to play with my mind, Carter thought.

Carter rushed again but the same happened. Carter's attack hit Carter.

"Hahahaha what a pathetic man. Couldn't even hit your opponent." Louis said and rushed towards Carter and was about to punch him.

Then, noticed he was in air.

"What am I doing in air." Louis said.

Then, he was slammed into the ground.

"..ouch. That hurt." Louis said.

He stood up and cleared dust from his clothes but he realized that he was in air again.

Carter rushed and was about to punch him.

Louis smiled.

And Carter fell on the ground due the his own punch.

While, Louis was slammed into ground again.

Then, he was again in air.

"Ooooh." He said but was slammed again.

Carter stood up and looked at louis who was getting slammed into ground again and again.

Carter thought a little, then, punched himself in the stomach.

"..ouch My stomach." Louis said and then got slammed again.
