Chapter 146 - “Sea of Despair”

After dinner.

Everyone moved to the normal living room.

The room had couches and a big screen.

Everyone sat.

Jake went and stood in front of the screen.

Aldrio turned on the screen.

The layout of entire NACHIO's buildings, bases etc were present.

"The headquarters of Nachio is in Hero Town." Jake said.

"The headquarters building has 3 entrances and 11 exits.

3 are through the main door. The rest are hidden. But I know them." Jake said.

"That's my man." Carter said.

"We need someone to infiltrate and inform us about every move while we attack from outside." Jake said.

"I will ask my team, to attack other branches of Nachio." Carter said.

"Lia, you should head home." Carter said.

"No. We will be needing anyone who can help." Jake said.

"Why? I have my men." Carter said.

"Jake's right." DA said from behind.

"Lia trained with Aurora is stronger than all of us aside from Dream." DA said.

"But-" Carter said but couldn't finish.

"Listen my friend. To remove evil we will need to make sacrifices. If you think that we will sit here and these enemies will vanish, that's not gonna happen." Jake said.

Carter agreed.

"Yeah. I also want to go. So, I can show you my prowess." Lia said.

"And Dream. We will be thankful if you can help us." Jake said.

Dream thought about it.

"I know you quit fighting and wanted to look after your children but this once." Jake said. Bowing his head.

"Yes Dream. With you being present we will win. Just this once." Lia also said.

"Okay." Dream said.

Jake and others smiled and thanked her once more.

"Wait. You guys are moving too fast." DA said.

"I know a little about Nachio. I think something is wrong or that's why they are with enemies." DA said.

"Yes. You might be right. I got a code from Locki's house." Jake said.

The text comes on the screen.

F.S.T.R..Z..D..E.N.MY.

"What's that?" Lia says

"It's a message I think." Carter said.

"FOSTER IS THE ENEMY." Carter says

Every head turns to him.

"Foster?" Jake says.

"Yes. Foster is the enemy." Dream says

"What is Foster?" Lia ask.

"I think Foster is the name of the organization who was after the original Scars." Carter says.

Jake clenches his fists.

"We will come to this later." Jake said, "First we need to do something about Nachio and Fake Scars."

"When are we launching our attack?" Lia asked.

"Thursday night 3:00 AM," Jake replied.

"Let's take down NACHIO first, then Fake Scars," Carter said.

"We'll take them down together," Jake added.

"What do you mean?" Lia asked.

"I mean we strike both at the same time," Jake explained.

"And what if they set a trap for us?" Carter said.

"That's possible… but we have to take that risk," Jake answered.

"I still think we should face them one at a time," Carter insisted.

"Yeah, there's no need to rush," Lia agreed.

"If we fail this time, we'll regroup and come back even more prepared," Carter said.

The others nodded in agreement.

Jake sighed, then finally nodded.

"Fine… we'll deal with NACHIO first."

Everyone smiled.

Meanwhile, DA had already fallen asleep.

Ron, who had been silently listening to everything, smiled to himself.

In the next moment, he teleported away — to the highest peak in Hero Town.

A caped man was already standing there, gazing over the glowing city below.

"Ron… how does it feel to be back in time?" Skelly asked without turning around.

Ron was taken aback.

Back in time? How does he know? he thought.

He forced a laugh. "Back in time? Hahaha… you're joking, right?"

Skelly slowly turned to face him.

"You don't have to hide it."

Ron stopped laughing.

"You're right… but I don't even know how I came back," Ron admitted.

"That magnifying glass," Skelly said calmly.

Ron's eyes narrowed. "What do you mean? That thing can do something like this?"

Skelly let out a low chuckle.

"Hahaha… this was just a trailer. That magnifying glass can do far more than you imagine. It is older than me — and even stronger."

"So… Wulkranoth created it before you?" Ron asked.

"Yes. It was forged using Black Sorcery combined with the Watcher's power," Skelly replied.

Ron fell silent, processing the information.

After a moment, he spoke again. "So… what really happened between Wulkranoth and the Watcher?"

Skelly's expression darkened. "Now is not the time for that."

"Then why did you call me here?" Ron asked.

Skelly's voice turned serious.

"I came to tell you… that you cannot change what you are trying to change."

Ron's eyes widened. "What do you mean?"

Skelly didn't answer.

Then he added, "Wulkranoth ordered me to warn you."

"Wulkranoth?" Ron said sharply. "Does he know about the upcoming deaths?"

Skelly remained silent.

He simply turned away.

"ANSWER ME!" Ron shouted, rushing toward him.

Suddenly — without warning — Ron plunged into water.

In an instant, the entire city was submerged. Buildings, cars, streets — everything was underwater.

Ron struggled, trying to swim upward, but he kept sinking deeper and deeper.

"What is this power?!" he gasped.

Skelly's voice echoed through the abyss, cold and twisted.

"That is the sea… the sea of your despair. You know what is coming — yet you cannot change it."

Ron tried to speak, but water filled his lungs.

From the dark depths below, a faint purple glow began to rise.

The pressure became unbearable — and then everything shattered.

In the next moment, reality snapped back.

Ron was again standing on the rooftop — the exact second before he had rushed forward.

He collapsed to his knees, vision fading.

Skelly turned once more.

He murmured something in an unknown language…

…and then disappeared.
