It seemed that Jean was in no mood to talk. Her face was calm, but her eyes carried a burning intensity that made it clear she had already decided what she wanted to do.
Her focus was locked onto Charles, and there was no hesitation left in her.
Kakashi watched her carefully from a distance, his eyes narrowed as he tried to understand what was happening. He had seen many people lose control because of power, but this felt different.
'It seems that Jean is not willing to listen anymore,' Kakashi thought as he observed her movements closely. 'She looks completely driven by something else.
He clenched his fist slightly as a realization began to form in his mind. The previous fight has left some doubts in his mind but for the past week after thinking about it, he came to a realisation of why Jean behaviour changed drastically.
'There is no way that the Jean I trained would act like this. She was kind and careful. She struggled with her powers, but she never lost herself like this. This is not just her.'
His thoughts became sharper as he compared what he was seeing to something from his own world.
'It is like how Gaara was influenced by Shukaku. The power inside Jean feels similar to a tailed beast. It feels like something that has been sealed for a long time and is now angry. It is trying to take control and take revenge through her actions.'
Kakashi's eye widened slightly as another memory surfaced.
'I think I have read about this power in Kamar Taj. If I am not wrong, this must be the Phoenix Force. If that is true, then this situation is very bad.'
He recalled everything he had studied about it.
"The Phoenix Force is one of the oldest cosmic entities. It existed even before darkness and the universe itself. It is not just power. It is a living force. It represents life itself and is connected to all psychic energy across all realities."
Kakashi took a slow breath, but it did not calm him.
"If the Phoenix Force has its own will, then Jean is not just using power. She is sharing her mind with an entity. That means my idea of her being like a jinchuriki is not completely wrong."
Instead of feeling relieved for understanding the situation, Kakashi felt more uneasy.
"Kaguya was a threat that could destroy a planet. But this... this is something beyond that. This is a multiversal threat. If it continues to grow, it could destroy not just this world, but everything."
He looked at Jean again, his expression serious.
"I have only two options. Either I seal the part of her power that is influencing her, or I find a way to remove it completely. Genjutsu will not work. Someone with her level of telepathy could easily break it and even turn it back on me."
Kakashi exhaled slowly.
"I do not have any technique that can stop her directly."
His gaze shifted toward Wanda.
"I guess everything depends on Wanda now."
At that exact moment, Wanda stepped forward. Her eyes glowed a deep crimson as she raised her hands. Without wasting time, she released a powerful beam of energy straight toward Jean.
Jean did not move. Instead, several translucent psychic barriers appeared in front of her. The beam struck them and spread across the surface like ripples on water, unable to pass through.
Jean lifted her hand slightly. Pieces of the broken roof above them began to shake. Large chunks of concrete and metal tore free and shot forward at high speed toward Wanda.
Wanda did not step back. Her expression remained focused. Her hands moved in a smooth motion, and her red energy wrapped around the incoming debris.
The pieces slowed down instantly. Then, in a strange and sudden shift, they transformed into a swarm of butterflies. The butterflies fluttered gently toward Wanda, completely harmless.
Kakashi's eye widened.
'So this is reality manipulation,' he thought.
Jean's eyes narrowed slightly as she observed this. For the first time, she looked surprised.
She raised both her hands this time. The ground beneath Wanda cracked as invisible pressure pushed down on her. The force increased rapidly, trying to crush her into the floor.
Wanda gritted her teeth as she resisted. Her body trembled slightly, but she raised her hands again. The space around her warped, and the pressure suddenly vanished as if it had never existed.
Jean did not stop. She swung her arm, and an invisible wave of telekinetic force shot forward. The walls around Wanda cracked and burst apart as the wave pushed everything in its path.
Wanda stepped to the side and waved her hand. The broken pieces of the wall froze in midair. She flicked her fingers, and the pieces turned into dust before scattering harmlessly.
Jean's aura flared brighter. The air around her distorted more intensely. She pointed toward Wanda, and the very space around Wanda began to twist. It felt as if reality itself was being pulled apart.
Wanda responded immediately. Her red energy expanded outward, forming a barrier that stabilized the space around her. The distortion slowed and then stopped completely.
The two of them stood facing each other, their powers clashing in ways that could not be fully seen, only felt.
Jean then raised both hands and clenched them.
Suddenly, multiple invisible forces grabbed Wanda from different directions. Her arms were pulled apart, and her body was lifted slightly off the ground.
Wanda struggled as she tried to break free. Her energy flared, pushing against the hold. Slowly, she forced her arms back inward.
With a sharp motion, she released a burst of energy that shattered the invisible restraints.
Jean immediately followed up by launching a barrage of debris from all directions. Metal beams, stones, and broken structures rushed toward Wanda at once.
Wanda spun in place, her hands moving rapidly. The objects slowed, then changed form again. Some turned into mist, others into harmless fragments that fell to the ground.
Kakashi watched everything closely, his mind trying to keep up.
Jean suddenly stopped attacking for a brief moment. She looked directly at Wanda, studying her.
"You are the most troublesome one here," Jean said for the first time after breaking the seal that Kakashi had placed on her. "You should be enough to deal with these pests while I take care of Charles."
