My eyes shot open to reveal the dimly lit room where I and nine other girls stayed. They were all asleep, including Mira who was supposed to wake me up.
The room was quiet except for the constant sound from exhaling and inhaling made by the others. I climbed out of the bed, and made my way towards Mira who was sleeping on the floor, at the far end of the room, away from the others.
"Mira," I called when I got to her, and knelt beside her. My voice was in a whisper so as not to wake the others while my mouth was positioned close to her ear for maximum while I shook her gently with my arms.
The healing remedy had worked wonders within a few hours, leaving me strong enough to be able to see through the escape plan.
"Mira!" I called again more forcefully when she did not move, and she stirred a little. "Mira, I called once more, and her eyes and fluttered open.
