Hayley's POV
My blood turned cold, my throat closing up as shivers of fear filtered through me. I turned around and looked at the car, it would be impossible for me to sprint towards it and run home. What had I been thinking, this place was out of bounds for me.
"Aren't you going to say anything Luna?" one of the men chuckled, "Are you surprised?"
"You have no right to sack this place and treat its inhabitants as slaves." Those words came out with the last boldness left in my mind. I was a ton of miles away from home. Anything could happen right here and now.
"Your husband has not yet been declared the king of the realm." the second man said to me. "You may have the support of the other packs including the minor and the major ones, but the people of the fallen pack will never bow their heads to anyone who is not their own. You waste your time, Lunar Hayley."
