Okay, I have done well now. Gaining Hayley's trust at the time Lucian's men were about to harm her was a no-brainer. She was seeing me in a different light and I was now a step closer to achieving my aim. First, Lorenzo and then the throne of the Queen. But what about Halley's pregnancy?
The fetus was growing, and there was no doubt that its birth would bring Haley and Lorenzo closer to each other. I could not afford that. The child has to go.
Hayley remained quiet during the drive, but I could see her thoughts on her face. She was conflicted. Vanya had a point and she was worried about Lucian gaining the upper hand. This conflict was the beginning of her troubles. My aim was to use her against herself.
