Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

I was already half past 10 when I reached the office. I looked at Maya to see how the boss's mood was. My boss is a 40-year-old man who thinks that the youth these days cannot uphold the beautiful art of Architecture. And well, we indeed tend to be a little less attached to it because we have just started working in this field.

As I entered his cabin, Mr Ashutosh Mitra looked at me with an angry yet bored expression. "So, Ms Meera Bedi, what was the reason for coming late today?" He said in a sarcastic tone. I can't blame him, i sleep like a log so waking me up is a tad bit difficult for the poor alarm clock. It was my mom's lion roar that woke me up.

"Sir, you know I won't lie, afterall I am such an honest person-" he cut me off mid sentence "since when?" At this time even he can't control the small smile from escaping. I might be the office joker but i am sincere enough in my job, its my dream afterall.

"Sir, I overslept, but it's totally on me. But I have completed the whole design for Mr Rathore's new resort," I said with an innocent smile, which doesn't really look innocent on my devil face.

He gave a deep sigh "At least you have completed the project design. Keep the file here, I will check it and add something I need to. As much as I know you, it won't be needed"

I kept the file on the desk and turned around to leave when I heard him call for me "Meera, I won't be able to go and check out the resort location and other things because of my wife's bypass surgery, So i would like to give you the chance to work on my behalf"

I looked at him with a baffled and excited express,on ",Me Sir? But how?"

"You are passionate enough about your job, and you have partially designed the project. You don't have to worry, I am going to send my secretary with you, and you can always call me if you have any confusion," he reassured me. Sir, I will make you proud. Thank you for the opportunity. But when do I have to go?" I asked

"After I have finalised the design and shown it to Mr Rathore, you can go after his agreement, it might take a month and a half", he said

I exited the cabin and saw Maya standing to see whether I had been scolded.

"What happened?" Maya asked

"Today's party is going to be on me, I am going to work on the project of Mr Rathore", I said with a squeak

"But aren't you already working on it?" asked Maya

"No duffer, she means not only the design but also the full work", Sana said to Maya

"Oh, I see, whatever, Party!" Maya said

We three cheered together, " party!"

"Shut up!" Said Mr Ashutosh from his cabin
