"Gardevoir, Latias—heal Zapdos."
Chen Xiaoxiao, noticing the scorched feathers and bleeding wounds on the Legendary bird, immediately gave the order.
Gardevoir raised her arms as a soft green aura of Heal Pulse enveloped Zapdos, while Latias emitted a warm, golden glow of Recover alongside it. The wounded Thunder Pokémon, surrounded by dual restorative energies, visibly relaxed.
As its injuries began to mend, Zapdos' once-stern eyes softened when looking at Chen Xiaoxiao.
Zapdos let out a low, harmonious cry and tilted its body toward Chen Xiaoxiao, extending a wing in her direction.
"This is...? You want me to ride on your back?"
Though startled by the gesture, Chen Xiaoxiao quickly understood Zapdos' intention.
Zapdos gently nudged her with his beak and nodded again, letting out another, more inviting trill.
It was a gesture of deep trust, an honor few had ever received from a Legendary Pokémon.
Knowing Zapdos intended to fly her to pacify the remaining enraged Electric-type Pokémon of the Electric Forest, Chen Xiaoxiao's heart swelled with pride.
"Solgaleo, Latias, bring Gardevoir. Meowstic, follow as support!"
Without hesitation, she mounted Zapdos, her hands gripping the dense golden plumage.
With a piercing cry, Zapdos took to the sky.

Elsewhere on the battlefield.
After giving stern guidance to the guilt-ridden siblings Lei Jian and Lei Ye, Hall Master Lei returned to his command post. His gaze remained fixed on the skies where Zapdos had flown.
Since Chen Xiaoxiao had returned to confront Zapdos, the battle sounds had ceased no thunderous shrieks, no electric surges splitting the air.
A flicker of hope stirred within him.
"Everyone, hold your positions! Prosecutor Chen is negotiating with Zapdos we'll have an answer soon! Cease fire on all Electric-types immediately! Avoid deepening the hostility!"
His voice echoed across the defense line.
The Electric Forest was not just a regional stronghold of Hubei, it was a national treasure, the nurturing ground for generations of Electric-type trainers.
If the Electric Pokémon were driven to view humans as enemies, the loss would reverberate across all of China.
"We understand, Master Lei!"
"Received!"
"Venusaur, Protect! Form a barrier!"
"Zebstrika, restrain your Wild Charge! Don't retaliate!"
"Gliscor, bait their attention with U-turn, but don't strike!"
Coordinated orders flew through the battlefield. Trainers adapted quickly, switching to defensive measures.
Then someone shouted, "Look! In the sky!"
"It's Zapdos!"
"And Latias! And the Sunne-form lion—Solgaleo!"
"Wait there's someone riding Zapdos!"
"That's Prosecutor Chen!"
From above, the golden thunderbird descended with Chen Xiaoxiao poised on its back. Beside them flew her loyal Pokémon, radiating calm.
A roar of relief erupted from the trainers below.
Hall Master Lei exhaled deeply for the first time in hours.
Zapdos surveyed the battlefield. His eyes swept over the fallen Electric Pokémon. With a mournful cry, he called down to them.
The Electric-types immediately halted, lifting their heads to the sky.
"They're responding to Zapdos! They recognize their guardian!" Master Lei announced.
"Electric Pokémon stopped attacking... because of Zapdos."
Chen Xiaoxiao, feeling Zapdos tremble beneath her, gently patted his neck.
"Don't worry, Zapdos. We'll heal them all. I promise."
Zapdos emitted a grateful warble. Then, hovering higher, he called out to the Electric Pokémon below, signaling that the conflict was over.
"Master Lei! The battle is finished! Deploy medics to treat the wounded Electric-types who are unconscious or badly hurt!" Chen Xiaoxiao called down.
Hall Master Lei leapt into action. "Everyone, clear a path! Medics forward—use Chanseys, Audinos, Blisseys! Healing-capable trainers, assist immediately! The rest of you—recall your injured Pokémon to their Poké Balls and use the portable treatment pods! Let's move!"
The trainers surged into coordinated action.
The earlier fear that Electric-types might forever distrust humans had dissolved. A rare chance to heal that rift had emerged and Lei wouldn't let it slip away.
"It's over!"
"We did it!"
"The battle's over!"
Cheers erupted across the field. Some trainers cried tears of joy. Bonds forged through adversity shone brightly.
In the corner, Lei Jian and Lei Ye sobbed quietly overwhelmed by guilt, regret, and relief. This war had been sparked by their thoughtless act.
Chansey teams rushed forward with Soft-Boiled and Healing Wish, their soothing light blanketing the fallen Electric-types.
Zapdos cried out to his kin again. The Pokémon stirred and backed away in orderly formation, creating space for the medics.
Zapdos landed among them.
Seeing humans tending to the wounded, the stormy glint in his eyes faded.
Chen Xiaoxiao dismounted.
"Gardevoir, Latias go help them. This is your victory, too."
Zapdos gave her a grateful nudge, causing Chen Xiaoxiao to giggle softly.
Moments later, Metagross and Solgaleo landed beside her, having returned from battle.
"Well done, Metagross. Sun Pokémon, you too. You've earned a good rest."
She returned them to their Poké Balls with a tap.
Among the crowd of recovering Electric-types stood Ampharos the same Pokémon that had earlier clashed fiercely with Latias.
Watching its revered leader Zapdos trust a human, Ampharos realized its young trainer had made the right choice after all.
With the healing efforts from Gardevoir's Wish and Latias' Healing Light, the Electric-types were quickly restored.
One after another, they rejoined the ranks chirping, buzzing, and growling with energy. The bond of trust, once fragile, was reforged with gratitude in their eyes.
