"I know you're still wary of me. I just want to say I have no ill intentions toward No Name. If possible, I hope to lead No Name to reclaim its former glory, to become a commonality no one in Little Garden dares to underestimate."
"Former glory…"
Leticia murmured absentmindedly, seeming to recall something.
In her heart, the old No Name was already destroyed. The reborn No Name wasn't what she wanted to see.
That's why she helped Galdo Gasper against No Name. She didn't want Kuro Usagi to lead everyone down this endless path of revival.
But Kuro Usagi had her own convictions. This No Name was the hope she clung to, the once-powerful commonality from three years ago. Otherwise, she could simply disband 'No Name,' form a new commonality, and easily recruit many talented individuals using her status as a 'Little Garden Noble.'
But Kuro Usagi didn't. She silently guarded the shattered remnants of No Name, repeatedly refusing Shiroyasha's help.
If she accepted support from Shiroyasha, a high-ranking executive of 'Thousand Eyes,' what would 'No Name' become? A subordinate commonality of 'Thousand Eyes'?
Kuro Usagi held onto her pride, determined to reclaim her banner and restore No Name's strength.
"Leticia-sama… what do you think of the current 'No Name'? Is it reassuring?" Kuro Usagi asked when Leticia remained silent.
"Well… although those two girls have potential, they're still too inexperienced. They struggled against an opponent like Galdo." Leticia sighed softly.
"If they focus on developing the new commonality, they'll absolutely succeed. But revenge against the Demon Lords is unrealistic."
"Is… that so?" Kuro Usagi's ears drooped in dejection.
"Hey, hey, hey… don't say it like that! I beautifully took down that tiger!" Kudou Asuka complained from the side.
"Hey, vampire loli, don't get it wrong. You're only talking about those two girls. You haven't seen my strength yet!" Sakamaki Izayoi stretched, stepping forward, his eyes filled with fighting spirit.
"I heard you were once a Demon Lord? That's fantastic! As the third Demon Lord I've met, let's have a good fight."
"Indeed, I haven't tested your strength yet… I admire your courage, but I need to see your skills firsthand." Leticia smiled slightly, then looked at Arthas, who still avoided her gaze.
Leticia stood, her crimson wings unfurling. Her small body floated into the air, reaching the windowsill.
Clang! Crimson light flashed in her hand, and the huge knight's lance reappeared. Leticia threw the lance outward, shattering the windowpane.
"If it's a test of strength, no need for formalities. One blow each."
"Whoever's still standing wins. Good. Simple and straightforward?"
Both laughed, leaping through the window into the courtyard.
They stood facing each other, about ten meters apart.
"She's no match for Sakamaki Izayoi," Arthas declared, shaking his head from the windowsill.
"Arthas-sama, why do you say that? Leticia-sama is a pure-blooded vampire, one of the rarest among the Oni, a Little Garden knight with divinity!" Kuro Usagi asked, puzzled.
"Divinity?" Arthas shook his head.
"I don't fully understand divinity, but hers is likely gone. I can sense that she's incomplete."
"Wh… what?" Kuro Usagi said incredulously.
An explosion drew everyone's attention.
Leticia's lance, thrown at Sakamaki Izayoi, was violently shattered by a punch.
The flying fragments, like shotgun pellets, flew towards Leticia.
"Leticia-sama!"
Kuro Usagi, leaping from the window, intercepted the fragments. A shocked Leticia hugged Kuro Usagi, landing on the ground.
"Kuro… Kuro Usagi! What are you doing?!"
Leticia exclaimed. This wasn't a protest against the interruption of their duel, but because Kuro Usagi had grabbed her hand and taken her Gift Card.
Ignoring her protest, Kuro Usagi stared at Leticia's Gift Card and said in a trembling voice.
"Gift Name: 'Pure Blood Vampire Princess'… the Gift has changed. Even with Oni blood, the divinity is gone."
Tears flowed uncontrollably down Kuro Usagi's cheeks. "Leticia-sama, where's your divinity?"
Turning her head away with a wry smile, Leticia remained silent.
"Oh dear… so the divinity is gone," Sakamaki Izayoi, who had also examined the Gift Card, shrugged disappointedly.
Sakamaki Izayoi didn't fully understand divinity, but Shiroyasha's explanation had given him a vague idea.
Divinity is a type of Gift, a manifestation of immense power. Knowing that was enough.
Losing divinity undoubtedly weakens one's strength. For example, the Serpent God, whom Arthas had defeated, without divinity, was just a slightly larger snake.
"My divinity was taken by the Demon Lord three years ago when I failed. I became a slave, someone else's possession."
After a moment of silence, Leticia finally revealed the truth. She smiled faintly, looking at Kuro Usagi, who was crying in her arms.
"But at least, I don't need to worry anymore. Kuro Usagi, you have so many strong companions now. So please, continue striving towards your goal."
"But what's the point without Leticia-sama? It's not about reclaiming the commonality's banner, it's about reclaiming our companions!"
Kuro Usagi, emotional, grabbed Leticia, ignoring her encouragement.
"There must be a way! Whether it's money or a Gift Game, there must be a way to get Leticia-sama back!"
