Chapter 8 - 8: The First Creation II

In the game RuneScape, Guthix was the god of balance. He fell in love with Gielinor when he first arrived and created the World Gate so that he could share its beauty with others. Dwarves, Elves, Fairies, Humans, and so many other races were brought to Gielinor as a result of Guthix's choice, but not even he understood what the true consequences were then.

While Guthix slept deep beneath the world, other gods came to Gielinor and brought with them a devastating war that forever scarred the land north of Varrock. Even if Michael would suggest creating the Stone of Jas to him, Luke was not introducing the Elder God eggs into this universe this early.

"Perhaps at some point," Luke thought to himself. "But not as we deal with the emergence of Ten. We know that the DoctorDonna will be coming out only when the Reality Bomb is about to fire, but not even that will require my creation of the eggs."

So, as a compromise, he would bring Guthix to the universe of Doctor Who. This would add another guardian to the human race besides the Doctor, UNIT, Torchwood, and the one viking girl that Twelve made somewhat immortal. Luke actually was very excited to potentially meet Clara Oswald and go on adventures with the Doctor, yet he did know that he'd have a different way to time travelers than the standard TARDIS or Vortex Manipulator. The only hope that Luke had for Guthix was to better help advise him in situations that Michael couldn't help in.

"So," Michael inquired, "when will you create him?"

Luke pulled up the Anima Codex and went straight to Guthix's profile. He knew that, while he could just create an item from either game or produce an NPC from his own original game, Luke desired someone that was not like the Doctor. While peace can be achieved and they were able to keep a pacifist mindset, he felt that someone who can guard him and advise him in similar situations was more beneficial to him. There were times to be good and there were times to break the rules to achieve a greater good.

"I intend to create Guthix just before Christmas," Luke replied as he looked at the calendar. "I want him to get acclimated to this new universe and study it over time. He would also be able to bear witness to how far humans in this universe have gone without runes or magic."

It was also left unmentioned that, should Guthix be amenable, he'd be left to his own choices on whether or not he wished to bring forth the Guthixian faith. Luke and Michael knew that he had unintentionally created his own religious following during the First Age, yet his teachings were some of the longest standing teachings in Gielinor's history. They had no doubt that some people would follow his teachings and the Doctor would respect it.

As it became much more closer to Christmas, Luke lamented being unable to witness Rose going into her Bad Wolf form. He knew that taking the heart of the Vortex into her mind was a very bad idea, but the literal power of gods was something else to see. He knew that he held the power to create gods, worlds, powerful items, and fundamentally reshape reality itself using Anima, but the fan boy inside was heartbroken at not seeing Rose basically use a move that wouldn't be named until Marvel Studios released Avengers: Infinity War.

He would have loved to see her reduce the mad scavenger Daleks and their Emperor into atoms, along with making Jack Harkness immortal, but he was going to be more concerned over creating Guthix in time for him to witness the events of The Christmas Invasion.

It is almost a week to Christmas in 2005. Luke saw the signs that the Pilot Fish robots were starting to show up and both Michael and him knew that it was only a matter of time before Ten, Rose, and Mickey showed up to fight the Sycorax. This meant it was nearly time to begin creating Guthix into the universe and begin to subtly involve himself with the canon storyline.

While the clock ticked ever closer to Christmas, Luke wondered where he could create Guthix. He did not feel like creating him in his room was a good idea considering the god was massive. The god was so tall that no one knew how tall he really was considering the only time Guthix appeared in game was during the quest The World Wakes and he was killed by Sliske. That had left a very bitter taste in Luke's mouth that he (Guthix) was killed by a Mahjarrat using the Staff of Armadyl, so he was going to make sure that none of his creations could be actually destroyed unless it was by his own will.

Back to where Luke could create Guthix, he knew the Strykers were old money and that he could find some places in Wales or London that were good places to create the god. Just before he decided on a place, he stopped.

He remembered that there was a place in this universe that was good to create Guthix. Stonehenge was a place steeped in supernatural culture both in this world and his former world. While scientists discovered that, through carbon dating, the stone circle was built around 3100 BC, its legends grew through popular culture.

Luke knew that, outside of his former world, Stonehenge was the burial site of the Pandorica. He did not care for the prison box buried beneath Stonehenge at this time, but he felt that it would be symbolic to create Guthix upon the center of one of the world's mysterious buildings.

With that, Luke waited for the right time...
