Luke was not surprised to hear the news show the Sycorax. This country, at this time, were excited to explore their small corner of space with all the probes they send out. What concerned Luke was that the Sycorax would arrive early in the morning and that Harriet Jones would, as she often does, royally fuck up. Even now, as he knew the leaders of the UK government and UNIT would be scrambling to figure out the intention of the Sycorax, Luke held no doubt that Rose would inevitably start to migrate to the TARDIS.
As the world's news stations continued to discuss the existence of aliens and things began to go further into the episode, Luke talked to Michael.
"Would I be able to understand the Sycorax without the TARDIS translating?" Luke inquired.
It was an understandable concern for Luke to have. He knew that the only languages he could understand with certainty was English and the Gielinorian version of it, but if his powers can automatically translate all languages into English, that would circumvent the need for machine translation.
It did not take too long for Michael to respond. "You will be able to. This should be able to translate any tongue into English, but..."
"But?"
"The power only applies to yourself and the god entities you create," Michael replied in a sad tone. "This means anyone native to this universe or the mortal beings you create cannot benefit from the translation power."
It surprised Luke to find that out, but the surprise did not last too long. He can explore more about it once he was ready to deal with the Sycorax and fight in place of the Doctor.
Meanwhile, Mickey had managed to hack into the UNIT servers (mistakenly thinking it was military) and saw that they were tracking a spaceship over five thousand miles away. His laptop also included the stream of the Sycorax, yet unlike Rose and Mickey, Luke could hear the words properly in English.
"People, you belong to us. To the Sycorax..." The Leader spoke. The speech continued about how the planet belongs to them along with the precious stones and ores, but Luke soon tuned it out.
He knew that Rose was explaining to Mickey that the Doctor was an important part of the translation circuit for the TARDIS, which wasn't wrong. Luke knew that, while the Doctor's famous ship could grant him a universal translator, his power enabled multiversal translation. He even knew that it would take the Sycorax five hours to show up.
That meant he had until five am UK time to prepare for what would inevitably be Harriet Jones' great cockup. It also annoyed him that, in the episode, it was due to Harriet's fuckery that ended up with two people dead and her blaming the Doctor for it when it wasn't his fault. Now, in this iteration, Luke was determined to screw with Harriet.

It started with the trick of light around the heads of the other humans here and a sonic wave from the ship entering the atmosphere. Luke knew that the Sycorax had arrived to the planet and were already, and successfully, scaring the human race. This also meant that Rose and Mickey were beginning to move the Doctor into the TARDIS to hide.
Luke understood that the Doctor was paying attention to everything happening around him, but was unable to act for now as Jackie, Rose, and Mickey were unaware that he needed tea to snap everything back into place. He played up his helpful act and helped the saddened Rose Tyler to move the unconscious Doctor into the TARDIS while having Michael keep track on Harriet Jones.
At this point, the news stream of Harriet pleading for the Doctor to show up had already broadcasted. He understood her fear, but it was also that very same fear that was fueling her anger. If he had been a Sith Lord or a Darth, he would have taken great pleasure in the anger of the UK Prime Minister.
It was the first time he entered the TARDIS as he helped them carry the Doctor in. Unable to take in the dimensional engineering of this multiversal famous ship of the Time Lords, Luke laid down the unconscious Doctor onto the floor of the console room. He even knew that Rose was going to do something that would attract the attention of the Sycorax and trigger the next act, but he had to keep that knowledge to himself.
"How are things on the idiots side?" Luke inquired as he took a moment to breathe in the TARDIS air.
"Harriet has already left to the Sycorax ship," Michael replied in a cold tone. "She is currently still attempting to be diplomatic, but failing horribly as the Sycorax are not taking her seriously. In fact, the poor men who are going to die will soon perish."
Luke groaned irritably. He was aware that Harriet was playing a dangerous game that only the Doctor could navigate reasonably and she was not helping anything. Then, after a few moments more, it was a subtle chill that layered over the TARDIS console room.
The chill seeped into the very bones and was like an itch that could not be scratched away easily. While Rose and Mickey were left unaware of it consciously, their subconscious minds were left on high alert. Even the unconscious Doctor was left feeling some measure of caution as Luke received the dreadful news.
Both the men that died in the episode died just now from the Sycorax Leader. Now, it was only Harriet and her right-hand man left to represent the human race.
The great fuckery has happened and that was all the pretext Luke needed to stop the Doctor from doing this fight. It also was not long before Rose and Mickey alerted the Sycorax to the existence of the TARDIS and would soon teleport the ship onto theirs.
With Jackie left outside of the TARDIS, it was only Luke left aware of the spatial displacement and a System notification of another objective completed.
[Objective completed! You were on the TARDIS when the Sycorax teleported it onto their ship and can now change the event soon to play out.]
"Soon, Harriet Jones," Luke mentally monologued in a cold judgemental tone. "I will do what the Doctor did to you and topple your government. You may have sacrificed yourself when the Daleks came to Earth after stealing it, but that was merely you balancing out your karmic fate. I refuse to let you stay in power for much longer."
Then, the games began.
