Guthix was confused about what a Voidship was, let alone a Voidship Token, yet Luke was somewhat familiar with it.
In most science fiction stories, there existed ships like the TARDIS where one can travel through space and time. These types of ships inspired many to think about how it'd be to explore the past, future, and alternate choices; however what Luke understood of a Voidship was that it was a ship more powerful than the TARDIS.
How powerful? It would enable a person to explore the multiverse along with exploring space and time.
While Luke knew of only one type of Voidship, which was the prison ship used to store thousands of Daleks, he had a feeling this type of Voidship was different somehow. He just couldn't place it for now.
"Well," Luke thought out loud, "should I use the token now? I did lose out on the chance to witness Rose in her Bad Wolf form before."
"You should," Michael replied earnestly. "If I am thinking of this right, you getting a token means that a Voidship will be exactly what you will need in the future."
Luke took a moment to ponder on this subject as he knew that, in order to keep up with the Doctor, he would need some form of time travel. He felt like, while he could use Time Anima, using his powers to merely travel through time would be a waste. There were other ways to manipulate time to his whims.
Finally, he agreed to use the token.
He pulled it out of his inventory, though after a mere moment of confusion on how to summon it and call out a specific item, and tore it in half. What amused both Guthix and him was that the token actually looked like a theatre ticket. As the ticket was torn apart, the two pieces dissolved into dust and Luke felt something form a deeply profound connection to him.
Then, unlike the rustic wooden blue box of the TARDIS, a metallic frame appeared a foot away from Luke. Slowly, but surely, pieces appeared onto the frame.
Drawn from seemingly thin air, the frame and pieces came together. Both the frame and pieces looked like they were made of a metal neither Luke or Guthix knew about. The former could tell that the metal was denser and, somehow, lighter than dwarf star alloy—the same alloy used to conceal Eleven in 1969—but was far more precious. The frame itself looked like thin wires forging into a more sleeker design than a phone box.
As the frame slowly consolidated, it took upon the shape of a perfect sphere and seemed to remain formless. The pieces flew into the spherical frame and took up the remaining space within the frame, turning the interior void black. While this first appearance looked similar to the voidship the Time Lords made to house hundreds of Daleks within itself like a prison, both Luke and Guthix knew that this ship was something only Luke and those he trusted completely could use.
Then, a prompt appeared in Luke's vision from the System.
[Congratulations, Host! You have now acquired your first Voidship!]
[As this ship does not yet have a name nor a set outer appearance, you cannot currently use it. In order to use this ship, you only need to give it a name. Once named, the ship will be usable permanently.]
[Due to the nature of this Voidship, only you—the Host—and those you trust completely are allowed access to primary ship functions. Native beings to this universe (excluding ones you create) are only allowed to be passengers. Beings that you have created or re-created through your powers are granted first-class passenger privileges.]
[What would you like to name your Voidship?]
Luke read the prompt as it appeared in his vision and sighed audibly in relief. He had wondered about what would he do if someone like the Doctor or the Master tried to get into his ship because neither Time Lords were exactly great when it came to other timeships.
As is evident by how the Master cannibalized the TARDIS during the time he was Prime Minister of England to create a paradox. Luke did feel a stinging pain in his heart from sheer emotion when he heard the realization about what the Toclafane truly were.
"I promise I'll find a way to bring you guys hope," Luke thought to himself as he too wanted to bring hope to the humans trapped at the end of the universe.
Then, as if a flash of inspiration struck him, Luke knew exactly what to call his new Voidship.
"I shall name you the Light of Hope," Luke said out loud.
As if hearing its name from its owner spoken out loud, the Voidship slowly began to take on a new shape. A slow gleam simmered across the dark metallic shell and some the dark coloration began to fade away into a soft ethereal blue color perfectly mixing into the darker colors.
[Name has been accepted,] a System prompt revealed. [The Voidship shall now be called the "Light of Hope" and be nicknamed "Lux" as a secondary name.]
[Due to the naming of this ship, it shall now take on a shape that some can recognize as a symbol of hope. This outer appearance can be changed at any time through different designs, but cannot be given forms that are not known in this universe.]
With the last prompt read and vanished from his sight, Luke witnessed his ship taking on the shape of an old police box. Just like the TARDIS, his ship formed the shape of it on the outside, but the color and feel of it were vastly different. The color was more a metallic dark blue with soft specks of pure white scattered over the base while the feeling of the ships hull was clean.
No coarse feeling of wood under touch nor a faint woodsy scent. To Luke and Guthix, this outer appearance seemed like it would be smooth to the touch, faintly warm, and have a softer pleasant scent that wasn't detectable to humans. This ship, now looking like an outer space-type police box, was especially made to be a true home for Luke and his creations.
Then, with a soft click, the doors opened into something that made Luke glad he did not choose to be a Time Lord in this new life.
