Chapter 183 - Chapter 184: The AllSpark Is Mine!

Gunfire thundered across the battlefield.

Eight S.H.I.E.L.D. agents were hunkered behind makeshift barriers, unleashing everything they had at a towering Decepticon in the distance.

Each man gripped a submachine gun, roaring as they squeezed their triggers, bullets ricocheting off the Decepticon's metal hide with little more than a shower of sparks.

It was doing nothing.

The only thing slowing the mechanical menace was a mounted Gatling gun on a tactical assault vehicle.

BRRRRRT!

Rounds slammed into the Decepticon in a relentless stream, staggering it slightly. The heavy firepower wasn't enough to kill it outright—but it was enough to make it cautious.

The agents had also been tossing grenades whenever they could.

So far, they were holding the line.

But they all knew it wouldn't last.

---

"Shit! I'm outta grenades!"

One agent cursed, ducking behind cover.

"I ran out five minutes ago!" another shot back, equally frustrated.

"Incoming!"

A shout rang out.

The Decepticon, tired of playing defense, rose from cover and unleashed a blast from its arm cannon.

BOOM!

The explosion flipped the tactical vehicle like a toy, sending debris and flames skyward. The Gatling gun—their only real weapon—was out of commission.

The agents survived by jumping clear just in time, but now they had nothing left that could actually hurt the thing.

The Decepticon advanced without fear.

---

"Pathetic worms! Your resistance ends now!"

It sneered in English, stepping confidently forward, fully intent on finishing the job.

"Don't let it get close!"

"Fire! FIRE!"

The agents opened up with their SMGs again—but the bullets barely scratched the surface. They may as well have been throwing rocks.

The Decepticon raised its cannon again—

But then paused.

A sonic boom cracked the air.

In an instant, a lone figure appeared on the battlefield, standing just ahead and to the left of the Decepticon.

---

"What the…?!"

The Decepticon froze in place.

There had been no one there a second ago.

Was the sonic boom… this guy?

That speed—was that even possible?

The agents were just as stunned.

"Who the hell is that?"

"Where did he come from?!"

But there was no time to ask questions.

One of them shouted, "Get out of there, it's dangerous!" assuming the newcomer was some clueless civilian.

Too late.

The Decepticon had already locked its cannon onto the lone figure.

---

But then—

Zzzzzzt!

Twin beams of blazing heat shot from the newcomer's eyes.

The red-hot rays carved cleanly through the Decepticon's neck.

THUNK.

Its massive head fell to the ground with a dull crash.

The battlefield went silent.

---

The agents stared, slack-jawed.

Eight of them had spent countless rounds and grenades failing to even wound this thing—and this kid had just… decapitated it.

With one glance.

"A mutant…!"

One of the agents gasped, still in disbelief. "He's a mutant!"

"Hey, mutant! Why are you here?!"

Another called out, suspicion in his voice.

---

Alex didn't bother turning around.

"It's none of your concern," he said calmly. "Peggy Carter and her team are barely hanging on. You sure you want to waste time grilling me?"

Without waiting for a response, he strode past them toward the secure lab entrance.

The agents exchanged uneasy looks, stunned by what they'd just seen. None of them dared stop him.

They simply watched.

---

Alex approached the sealed lab door.

Normally, a door like this would require brute force—heat vision to cut it open, or a physical override.

But not anymore.

He had a better way.

Telekinesis.

Alex activated his x-ray vision, scanning the inner locking mechanisms in perfect detail. Then, with a single focused thought, he applied his mental energy to rotate the locking gears.

CLACK.

The door unlocked.

---

"What the hell?"

"Who opened the door?!"

The agents panicked. Only level-four S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel had access to that lab.

And yet this strange mutant had walked right up… and the door had just opened?

What kind of power was that?

---

Alex ignored them.

He walked inside without a word.

"Hey, wait—!"

SLAM!

The heavy door shut behind him with a boom, locking the stunned agents outside.

---

Inside the lab, it was chaos.

Charred walls, overturned equipment, the lingering stench of smoke—signs of a recent firefight were everywhere.

But Alex ignored the mess.

His eyes zeroed in on a massive, cube-shaped object resting atop a damaged test platform.

The AllSpark.

The complete, unbroken AllSpark.

His lips curled into a smirk.

Finally… it was his.
