Chapter 182 - Chapter 183: Howard Stark — Don’t Pin This on Me!

"I can't believe it… Earthlings actually created something this terrifying?"

Number Four stared at the screen, mouth agape, watching the Decepticons tear through a battlefield in a storm of fire and steel.

As a Loric who had spent years hiding on Earth, he'd always viewed this planet with thinly veiled disdain.

To them, Earth was a backwater—a primitive world with laughable tech.

But now?

Earth's so-called primitive civilization had birthed these monsters.

If Lorien had access to machines like this, the Mogadorians would've been wiped out ages ago!

Smith, Henri, and Number Six didn't say anything, but their stunned expressions made it clear—they were thinking the same thing.

And it wasn't just the aliens. Raven, Hank, Emma Frost, and Copycat all wore expressions of concern… and suspicion.

---

"Who built these things? And why are they attacking that intelligence agency?"

Copycat's eyes narrowed in thought.

"Strategic Homeland… something bureau, right?"

Raven paused for a beat, then turned sharply to Alex.

"Alex, isn't that Howard Stark's organization?"

That name made everyone perk up.

The Earthlings in the room exchanged glances.

Only one thought flashed through all their minds:

Did Howard Stark make those robots?!

With the current state of Earth's tech, only Stark might possibly be capable of something this advanced.

And the news anchor had said they were "out of control."

That would explain why the bots were laying waste to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s main base…

---

"No," Alex shook his head. "Those aren't robots. They're aliens."

Aliens?

That one word made the room go dead silent.

Everyone looked at each other, baffled.

Those hulking war machines tearing through buildings were clearly made of metal. How could they be aliens?

---

"I get why you're confused," Alex added calmly. "They're not organic aliens. They're mechanical lifeforms."

"Mechanical… lifeforms?"

Hank murmured the phrase like it was heresy. Even with his towering intellect, it was hard to reconcile "machine" and "life" in the same breath.

---

"Wait—Mr. Alex, are you talking about the Cybertronians?"

Smith's eyes lit up in realization.

Emma raised an eyebrow. "Okay, time out. Don't speak in riddles. What the hell is a Cybertronian?"

"They're what he just described—mechanical lifeforms from the planet Cybertron. That entire world was populated by intelligent machines."

Alex explained casually, keeping things simple for the rest of the group.

---

"Wow… this universe just keeps getting weirder."

Copycat shook her head, a bit of awe in her voice.

Raven, Hank, and Emma all wore looks of amazement—and growing concern.

---

"Wasn't Cybertron destroyed?" Henri suddenly asked, confused.

He'd heard rumors of the legendary mechanical planet, long destroyed by war. That's why he hadn't connected the dots until now.

---

"Henri, Lorien was destroyed too."

Smith spoke quietly from the side.

Henri fell silent, his expression turning distant and heavy.

The implication was clear:

Cybertron may have fallen, but like the Loric, its survivors were hiding on Earth.

---

"Alex, we can't ignore this."

Hank spoke up, deadly serious.

If this was just Howard Stark messing around with rogue tech, that was one thing.

But if these were aliens—intelligent, war-capable alien machines—this wasn't just a S.H.I.E.L.D. problem.

It was everyone's problem.

---

"What should we do?" Raven's voice cut in, sharp and direct.

As she and Hank turned to Alex, so did everyone else.

Even Smith and Henri looked to him now—not just as a powerhouse, but as a leader.

Only Emma and Copycat looked relatively calm.

To them, this wasn't a crisis—just another shake-up. If a few humans died? So what.

---

"I'll go take a look."

Alex's answer was vague, almost dismissive.

These were just Americans, after all. If some of them died, he really couldn't care less.

But…

If the Decepticons were on the move, that meant S.H.I.E.L.D. had found Megatron—and more importantly, the AllSpark.

And that?

That, Alex would never let slip through his fingers.

---

BOOM!

A thunderclap cracked through the air as Alex launched into supersonic flight.

One blink later—

He dropped like a meteor into an unguarded corner of the S.H.I.E.L.D. base.

---

TAT-TAT-TAT!

BOOM!

BOOM!

The place was a warzone.

Explosions rocked the ground. Shattered bodies and flaming wreckage littered the base.

But Alex ignored all of it.

With his X-ray vision, he calmly swept through the ruins, searching for his prize.

---

"Found it."

His eyes lit up.

No matter how well the AllSpark was hidden, nothing could block his sight.

As for Howard Stark?

Alex glanced around.

Nowhere in sight.

Figures. A man like Stark—core intel and tech asset—would've evacuated the moment things turned south.

---

But Peggy Carter was still here.

Leading what remained of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s forces, she was holding the line against the Decepticon assault.

Alex ignored her.

With a blur of speed, he vanished from the battlefield and reappeared outside a sealed lab.

---

TAT-TAT-TAT!

The firefight raged on behind him.

But none of that mattered now.

Alex had found the door…

And the AllSpark was waiting inside.
