They say when you die, your life flashes before your eyes. For Kenji Takahashi, it was the one pitch he never hit.
Bottom of the ninth. Two outs. Full count. Bases loaded. He stared down the pitcher with fire in his eyes. One swing and he'd make it. The majors. The dream. Everything he bled for.
But the pitch blew past him.
Strike three.
Years later, he died saving a child from a speeding truck. It should've been over.
But fate had other plans.
He opened his eyes to a younger body, standing in front of Seidou High's baseball field. His hands were smaller, but stronger. His back didn't ache. His vision… was clearer than ever.
And when a fly ball came barreling toward him during open tryouts, Kenji didn't flinch.
He caught it without blinking.
"If this is a second chance... then I'm going to become unstoppable."
