At the other end, Maura came out of her family's high-end coffee shop after the call with Diego ended. Her boots echoed rhythmically across the curbs, heading towards the waiting SUV while humming sweetly.

Getting close to the car, Maura's expression instantly changed. She wore her usual sicky facade.

She slipped inside beside him as she coughed once with a weary expression.
"You took so long to get the coffee. What happened?" Zane asked in his usual icy tone, edged with subtle concern.
