Within the living quarters of the ghost claw squad, Commander Hanks reappeared with Solanky's team. The moment they appeared, the AI of the living quarters welcomed Commander Hanks, and it introduced itself to Solanky's trio. "Hey, I am Hailey, the noble artificial intelligence who is in charge of the daily routines of the ghost claw squad. Welcome, Solanky; welcome, Elisa; and welcome, errhmm, is your name really Chief?" Solanky asked Hailey, "How did you know our names?" Commander Hanks then replied, "The moment you accepted to become a member of the Ghost Claw squad, your identity and abilities were already captured by Hailey the moment you entered the city gates."
Ohhh I see. Elisa replied, and they then walked through the hallway of the Ghost Claw squad. Within the hallway, they could see numerous engravings and scribblings on the walls of the hallway. Elisa, seeing this, asked what those scribblings and engravings were and who made them. Commander Hanks then let out a sigh of sorrow and replied by saying, "Those were left behind by my deceased comrades, and they are techniques and notes they always left behind after having an epiphany." Solanky then said, "Hailey, can you scan these characters and group them by authors and send it to my virtual account?" A ding sound rang throughout the hallway, and Hailey's voice said, "Say no more. I have compiled and arranged them orderly and sent them to the virtual account. You can review them later." Elisa then said, "Ohhh, that's so flashy. I never thought this was possible, so it means Hailey is always lying to us. That's very sketchy of you, Hailey." A giggling sound could be heard throughout the hallway, and it was none other than Hailey. Commander Hanks then said, "Within the Ghost Claw squad quarters, everything here is controlled and monitored by Hailey, and without permission, no being below the venerable generals of the forsaken god can enter without permission, and if they do, they risk being attacked or killed by Hailey, as the space of the quarters is fully controlled by her, and the level of control is only a notch below the venerable generals." Solanky's trio started wide-eyed at Commander Hanks in shock. Commander Hanks laughed and said, "This is our command room." Within the control there are five holographic projections of different figures with their names and level of cultivation above them. Elisa then walked towards one feminine figure who looked exactly like her disguise. Elisa then said, "Hailey, send me the notes left behind by this graceful figure. I don't know why, but I think I can resonate with her skills and techniques." A ding sound rang once again, indicating that her request was granted. Commander Hanks smiled as he thought Elisa's choice was the best since she reminded him of his lost comrade.
Commander Hanks then walked to the center of the room, then he waved his hand, and then a crystal platform appeared with four seats. He then asked them to sit, and they did. Commander Hanks then said, "You might not know, but Yomin is the most favored city by the venerable generals of the forsaken god because the forsaken god frequently visited this city the most every time he was outside the royal city. The reason is unknown to us, but it is said that the forsaken god once remarked that two terrifyingly talented beings would emerge from this city and their futures were limitless, so in order to confirm talents, he arranged for a competition to be held every hundred samsaras to recruit these talents to the royal army or train them for the future."
Solanky then asked when the next competition was. Commander Hanks then replied by saying, "According to the time of Yomin City, the competition begins in five days for you who aren't born in Yomin; it begins in five hundred years. So you have 400 years to prepare for the competition, but before that I will share a bit of information with you about the strongest participants, their techniques, and their signature moves. And don't worry, commanders like me won't be participating in the competition. Within your virtual space I have sent you everything you need to know. I will leave to register you in the competition because it's been a while since my team took part in the competition. Hailey will show you your resting quarters."
Commander Hanks teleported away from the ghost claw quarters; Solanky and the others were guided to the resting quarters. The moment they reached the resting quarters, Hailey said, "Within the resting quarters, I cannot see whatever you are doing without your permission. If you need my assistance with something, you can contact me through the virtual space. Have fun." Within the resting quarters there was a bed made out of clouds, and above the area of the bed there were little twinkling stars, and beside the bed was a shelf full of notes and books left behind by the deceased comrades or the venerable generals. Inside Solanky's resting quarters, he waved his hands, and a miniature universe was formed before him.
He vanished and reappeared within the miniature he formed; within the universe nothing existed—it was an empty space with only Solanky in existence. Solanky then waved his hand, and all the virtual engravings and scribbles Hailey sent earlier appeared suspended in the space in an orderly fashion. With his level of comprehension, he comprehended everything and understood whatever the other party was trying to achieve before hinting at a bottleneck. Among these different classes of ideologies, two techniques piqued Solanky's interest; the rest were just regular techniques and concepts based on his analysis. One of the two was a spiritual energy technique that used the energies within a thousand light-year radius as weapons based on the wielder's will. The second was just a concept on how to break through to the transcendent level; Solanky personally needed this because his actual strength without the royal forsaken corpse was below the peak entity level.
Three days passed according to Yomin time; Solanky and his team had prepared enough for the competition and had to leave their resting quarters. They came out of their resting to meet their commander. Commander Hanks met them once more in the control room and handed over to them a set of battle armor and some weapons.
The weapons Solanky received were a sword, a shield, a mysterious crystal ball with engravings on it, and a long spear. Elisa and Chief also received their own set of weapons to familiarize themselves with before the competition. Commander Hanks told them to also refine the weapons if they wanted to. Elisa and Solanky, being bearers of defying flames, immediately kept the weapons in their internal space and began refining their weapons and integrating bits of the flames into the structure of the weapons to amplify them by five times more than before.
