Chapter 74 - CHAPTER 74 - THE YOMIN CITY COMPETITION BEGINS

During the dawn of the fifth day, the entirety of Yomin city was in an uproar because in the skies of Yomin city the moon, stars, and sun were all in the same spot, and the 's'-shaped engraving up in the sky separating day and night seemed to have disappeared from the skies. And the moon and sun seemed to have partially merged, and it looked like the yin-yang symbol back from earth, with the stars forming consecutive halos around it, making the scene a breathtaking one, and this scene only happened on the opening day of the competition.

In the skies below the celestial bodies, three grey-robed figures with golden halos behind their heads stood side by side. The pressure emanating from them was imposing to the extent that no being below the venerable ones was able to fly; even non-living things were no exception. The grey-robed figure in the middle then took a single step forward; the moment he did so, the stars behind, which had formed several rings, began rotating slowly.

The grey-robed figure had a feminine figure and grace attached to her, although the grey tried its best to obscure 90% of her perfectly sculpted outline. The figure then brought a finger to the mouth; the moment she did that, every particle within Yomin city froze and began vibrating at a different frequency and wave. She began speaking, "Everyone in the forsaken realm knows what today is; there is no need to speak more on this, but any suspicious person or being that has ill intent to sabotage this competition should think twice before acting because there would be no escape from us." As she was saying this, the vibrating particles' frequencies and waves were resonating with her voice, and it acted like speakers, which relayed whatever she was saying.

Solanky and the others witnessing this for the first time were in great awe because to have absolute control over every particle was one thing, but letting them behave like extensions of oneself within the moment with live accuracy was another thing.

Commander Hanks then said, "Get used to it; she is among the venerable ones, so doing that is just breathing to her. Wait till the competition space opens, and you'll grasp how powerful a venerable one is." Solanky then asked, "Aren't we supposed to leave the camp and join the others?" Commander Hanks said, "There is no need; once you have registered, the venerable ones know your current location even if you are inside a self-created hidden space. Once you are still in Yomin, they can pull you out of that space against your will." Solanky's trio were shocked because they knew how difficult it was to locate a being hiding in a secret space, let alone eject that being against their will out of the space they had created.

For a moment Solanky and Elisa could feel a strange aura lock on them, but before they could act, they were teleported out of the camp against their will, and they reappeared beneath the skies where the three grey-robed figures stood, and around them they could see several warriors and beings numbering in the late tens of millions. Behind the three grey-robed figures, the fused moon and sun began turning black from its radiant color. "It habegun;n, a being from another squadron called The Green Lotus." The rotation of the stars came to a halt. The female grey-robed figure then said, "You are the finest from the divisions of the Yomin army. Some of you are new to the competition, but I believe your commanders have already briefed you on the mission. If not, check virtual space for the information. For those newbies and old folks, welcome to the competition. You will be teleported to the special space created by the forsaken god for the competition. Remember, danger lurks everywhere within that space, and if you think you can't handle it, crush the crystal ball you received earlier from your commanders. Any miscalculations and carelessness could result in your total annihilation."

The soldiers hearing this were shocked because, based on the intelligence of previous competitions, there was nothing like total annihilation because the moment someone was killed in the competition, they could return back to real life with only 3-5% of the essences destroyed, and those essences were recoverable over time, but now things had completely changed. Dying in the competition meant total death and annihilation for those who didn't have multiple bodies or had clones. One of the grey-robed figures beside the female grey-robed figures spoke out and said, "This time competition is different because the first venerable one will be watching, and he has been tasked by the forsaken god to serve as a witness and personally gift anyone who ranks in the top hundred. You are free to display your full strength; don't hold back anything because the weaker you appear to be, the more you risk being attacked by other teammates who would want to steal your gains, and remember, once you die, it is truly the end. Now get ready to teleported to the special space; you will be separated from your teams once you appear in the space but you can connect and track each other using karmic inductions or the virtual space, which is more useful because the special space sometimes interferes with karma. "

After saying this, the grey-robed figure waved his hands, and the participants were being grouped into groups and batches to be sent through the darkened fused sun-moon, which served as a portal to the special space. Before leaving, Solanky telepathically communicated with his team, saying, "Elisa, you are free to act domineering, but don't forget that there's always someone stronger watching in the shadows. Chief, with your power, don't try to confront any powerful being head-on, and with exceptional judgment, staying alive is easy for you. The competition will go on for fifty years according to the world's time, but to us, it will go on for five hundred years. Take this time to train and hone the skills you have learned; we will regroup after three hundred years." Elisa and the chief nodded in agreement before they were sent through the portal.

Solanky formed seals with his hands, and the battle armor he received earlier covered his entire body as he was being sent through the portal. The moment he appeared on the other side, he witnessed a massive war going on between two complete factions who weren't forsaken. Solanky looked at his wristband, and on the screen it displayed, "Survive this wave of battle to move to the next level of the competition; more points will be earned if you collect the treasures of the fellow warriors of both factions." In the distant one, the inexperienced participants eagerly rushed towards the warzone; the two factions seemed to ignore him because they were too occupied to mind him. Until the rushing participant started taking and storing the fallen warriors' weapons and treasures in his storage ring and pouch.

The warriors in battle noticed their fallen comrades being stolen by that participant, and this enraged them, and the enemies all joined hands to eliminate that participant. With the participant's power at the peak entity level, he was able to shrug off the few late-stage entities and peak entities who began to pursue him. The participant laughed heartily because he was able to escape their pursuit, but his laughter froze the moment he saw a flash of golden light brush past him. He suddenly came to a halt and fell from the skies like a meteorite with no signs of life.

Solanky looked in shock at the battlefield because that golden flash of light was a spear thrown by a transcendent-level being whose power was not less than the generals of the forsaken god.
